Err, cos it's Bolton? If we had come second we'd have got a pot noodle and a chocolate medal for each of the squad!

14 points behind the mighty Blades ............and they still get a trophy and fucking medals.
Must be a result of the "uncompetitive sport" culture they tried to implement in the 90s

To remind them who the best team was by 14 points, who was second best, who were runners up, the losers cup, the in your face second best notlob going into admin and being docked points club.

Who cares

More to the point, why did they get half an hour's coverage on C5?

Still, fuck 'em. They finished so far behind us that from our view they're basically indistinguishable from all the other also-rans this season.

I thought it was bad enough that we got a trophy for being the 45th best team in the country, they get one for being 46th.

We did get promoted to the Premier League though.

We did finish 2nd though, and had to make our own special silverware. I actually do think 2nd place should get something (and without checking, perhaps they now do as standard), because you could potentially finish 6th and end up raising a trophy at Wembley.

Well. I'm annoyed. It's a much better looking trophy than the one we got, so once again (ONCE AGAIN !) .......... I find myself wishing I was in their position rather than ours.

What has annoyed me is with the bbc, they show bolton lifting the 2nd place trophy but not us lifting the main one, we don't even get a picture on our match report!

Stop their Chairman and manager crying to the press again. Pair of fuckwits.

Was interested to see that Bolton had a big pitch invasion yesterday. The presentation of their prestigious solid silver second place trophy still went ahead, no trouble. And their players (with family kids/members) still managed a celebratory lap of the pitch afterwards.

Looking at the positioning of the stewards on this pic, it looks like they'd anticipated and planned for the pitch invasion.

Weren't we the ones to help instigate trophies for teams finishing second? In 2006 didn't we complain that both the champions and the team winning the play off final had been awarded silverware and we hadn't got anything?

I could be wrong but something stirs in the back of what used to be my memory. At least, I think it does.

It'll be down the pawn shop on Monday, helping to pay off their massive debts.

I think while we asked for special dispensation to have the plate we lifted, a few years back they introduced trophies for the runners-up – possibly when the sponsors changed.
