Sheriff Fatman Strikes again

If the team plays the way it does and creates chances

He will either put them away, in this case it will be a good buy

Or he will miss them, and it that case he won't have been a good buy

You cannot judge a striker based on his first two seasons when our team created next to nothing for him

He's done it at Championship level for Norwich and as soon as Danny Wilson provided us with a team that created chances he proved that he was SIGNIFICANTLY better than League One standard

He will have the benefit of being in a Wilder team so I expect him to have chances created for him, and the rest will be up to him

We'll soon find out if he's still got it

Anyone ever tried to sign Ched Evans on FIFA 17? I did and the transfer didn't go through.

EA Sports conspiracy?

The bit I quoted referred to 500k. If true, that's too much.

I agree 500k is to much, however a fee of 100/150 k has also been quoted, which I myself think is about right,so until the transfer goes through,we are both guessing aren't we?

Where has 150k been quoted? To the best of my recollection the media are saying 500k. What's the source for 100k or 150k?

I should Coco has posted about the lower fee,he is one I can recall, now you are happy with the RS 500k,I am happy with the 100/150 k.

The higher figure suits your stance on Ched, the lower suits mine

Post 137 Meltdown over

Poor effort from the Morbidly Obese Sports Reporter of the Year. Disappointing that he didn't manage to weave in the Gentlemen's Agreement with Watford over Steve Kabba in.

So there is another source, albeit one he doesn't name.

The higher figure doesn't suit me. I think any money spent on him is wasted, but the lower the better. If it's true, let's at least not throw yet more money at him.

Isn't the 500k from an unmanned Chesterfield source?

Out of the 2 sources,I trust ISC more than the Chesterfield source.

if ched only scores 10 500k is very cheap in championship terms

surely people can remember he wasnt just a shit liner a 6 yard box man , he rifled goals in from every conceivable angle and distance
given the fact we create 20 chances per game and I reckon will go at it in much the same vein he should come out of it rather well

It wasn't just ISC either. I saw a few posts from people, mainly from Chesterfield or quoting people they knew from Chesterfield, saying £150k rising to £500k on appearances and providing we stay up.

I didn't make a note of who they were as I read about two thousand posts yesterday but it's all there if you want to trawl through it.

IF and its a huge IF, he gets back to his very best form, we'd have a striker we probably otherwise couldn't afford.

footballs all about timing

we set on Chris Wilder at the right time
we signed Moore at the exact right time
and even Hanson was well timed , we didnt lose after that one

Hopefully a fully fit Ched after a pre season getting good service can deliver if the timings right

If he can't get fully fit, then it's a waste. Whatever he achieved here in the past counts for nothing.

Thank you,BB,it was just ISCpost that I remembered

Yes folks .The Daily Mail Sports reporter of the year Martin Samuels couldn't wait to have a pop at his obsession his Arch nemesis Sheffield United .
Strange how he was not prepared to comment on Southend united s Kit man !
Read it and can't see anything wrong in what he's said myself.

The title of this thread could easily be a really bad Star Wars film remake.

I've heard it's a 500k package. The initial fee 150k. Chesterfield are under pressure to get him off the wage bill, and are generally downsizing.

Agree completely ,EEL comes into that bracket too.

Did you see him in that season ? He was unplayable ,a very good player ,so we know he has the ability ,we have better backroom staff and facilities than Chesterfield plus a whole 4 months to work with him ( IF we are signing him ). He hasn't had a major injury it is just fitness . We have a great hungry player if this is handled right.

Take on board what you say . However Ashley Carson is a twat . o_O

True. We should have binned Coutts off because he was poor 'in the past'. Nothing to do with Wilder transforming players...

Yes because clearly the time scale and lack of professional football makes no difference whatsoever and should be ignored.

Wilder can do little if he's permanently suffering niggles. And my point has always been about that rather than his current ability. Which of now is nowhere near his great season for us. Only time will tell however anyone pretends otherwise.

Got it in one. Being the Mail's Chief Sports Writer, Fatboy has every sport in every country on the planet to write about, but chooses to continue his obession with the Blades (which goes back to the Warnock period). Where I think he is right is the it was never more than an opportunist gimmick to involve Ennis-Hill, anyway bit. It was an ill-judged bit of bandwagon-jumping by McCabe, for a bitch who has no connection with us whatsoever. But while Fatboy is playing the 'poor little innocent St. Jess of Ennis' card, she could have turned it down and chose not to. But, as we know, she'd promote anything if it added to her ill-deserved fortune. If she thought the Chedgate saga would harm her carefully-cultivated 'brand', she apparently had no such qualms about the utterly-venal Santander.

"Ill-deserved fortune"
Has the poster any idea how much dedication, time, effort etc was needed to achieve what Jess Ennis achieved?
I think there's a tad more evidence of ill-deserved fortunes in the world of football than athletics.
The b**** comment is appalling also.

BTW Have RS made any comment why the Blades special on Monday night was cancelled, of course I may have missed it.

Yes, because of the breaking Ched story. They've rearranged it for the night of the open top bus thing.

Can't wait to read his column about today's HMRC raid on the cockney scum club
