So are we allowed to invade the pitch at MK?

The chavvy pitch invaders also left a load of litter on the hallowed turf the scratty beggars. Have some respect to the club and your players people.

What?? I was indifferent about this whole matter until I read that.. left rubbish on the hallowed Desso? I saw a bloke leave a load of rubbish on the pitch about this time last year, and look what happened to him.

Can't believe what I'm Reading if they get banned they get banned !they're fault you not.going to stop them.Personally not for me running on.today but each to their own did it spoil.your day or something wasn't like it was halfway through game it's a bank holiday Monday we won 3_0 we champions played terrific football and u whining that some people had orddasity to run on the pitch for a few minutes grab a beer embrace and enjoy this time and get off your high horse we still champions the last time I looked ☺utb ftp

Agree keep BDTBL pitch tidy but please leave all your shit in the stands!

Here's the rules:

If its a spontaneous outpouring of absolute emotion and celebration in the heat of a moment then its a thing of beauty. (see Northampton or when Porter scores).

If its premeditated and planned then its crap. (see today)
Or the forest game that we won 3-2 in the first season back in the top flight when we'd gone almost half the season without winning. As a 14 year old I thought we'd won the European Cup that day. (The proper one, not the shitty league they do now)

Jeez, is English your second language or are you from low edges?..Maybe your deliberately dense or get up early and practice..Or is someone else in the family using the Braincell this week.do I have to do a picture to explain it for you??
What's your history and recollection of Lowedges people then?

Next time, will you please put a capital 'L' along with full stops in the right place for us thick cunts from Lowedges.

Agree. Nowt wrong wi' Low Edges. My first gallon of Magnet in the Magpie.

The Magpie is a shop now and The Mower is still there. Had some good nights in both.

As kids we used to climb on the outside window ledge of the Magpie's concert room on a Sunday to peer over its frosted glass because someone had told us there was a stripper on. Always disappointed when all we saw was some large buxom woman singing. Other times we'd all keep spinning the revolving door, one of us daring to just go inside the pub before jumping back into the revolving door to escape.

On both occasions we'd be told to 'Bugger off'.

There was on off license at the back that we'd get we'd get pop or sweets from.

Then we'd progress on to the youth club stage and then onto the pubs.

In teenage years we'd go in the Magpie on a Monday night where there was a blind DJ 'Tearing Trev's' disco playing.

But most of those years were spent meeting up in the Grennel Mower. If we were staying local it was down to the 'Maggie' or over to the Batemoor, Jordanthorpe, White Hart and White Swan. More often than not it was a bus trip into town for 'a night out in Sheffield,' which every generation of Blades have experienced.

As you say Wizardry, the Maggie's a shop now and I suppose the 'Mower' is just surviving. They both did OK in those days. But for all the people that lived on Low Edges not sure if they got their fullest support. My dad would go out for a drink every night and Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes but can't recall him ever using the two estate pubs.

Remember on a Sunday night the 42 & 53 buses being full at about 6.30pm by the time they'd reached the end of Lowedges road as people went to Woodseats to the WMC's.

Happy days.

Unfortunately neither the Batemoor or the Jordo are pubs anymore either :(

The Boundary has also shut down leaving no boozers in the area. The closest they have now is The Norton, Chequers or The Bowshaw, two being mainly food places and one not being far off one. It's a sad state of affairs for the pub industry.

It's almost like being a chairman of a mediocre football club, running at loses all the time or just about making ends meet. I love a good local aswell. :(

They're all food places now unfortunately.

The Norton is a Sizzling Pubs, The Chequers is a Hungry Horse and The Bowshaw is a Toby Carvery.

Dronfield and Woodseats still have plenty of boozers and the 2 in Greenhill are still open but it's slim pickings now if you live Lowedges/Jordanthorpe/Batemoor way

Drinking in the Magpie >20 years ago, an old slapper came over to our table and said to my mate "I'll give you this coat for a fuck". He took the coat off her, inspected it, handed it back and said "no thanks love, the zips broke". I was rolling around laughing for the rest of the night!

Another night I saw a mini riot develop because someone had their fish fingers stolen.

As fun as the Magpie was, I preferred the (relative) sanity of the pubs in Greenhill.

Aah, pubs and scary older women. Anyone remember Scotch Alice at Heeley and on London Road?
