Thought about this yesterday when Liverpool announced the new keeper had signed.
The only problem I see is that would he want to sit on the bench? If he is first choice where does that leave George and his development, it's no good him being sat on the bench. Also should ramsdale be pushed further back. Another amongst lots of dilemmas for CW.
Decent call though Notts just not sure how it works.

Was chatting to a bloke whilst waiting to be served at half time on Weds who claims Ward is all but a done deal assuming we're promoted. Wants to stay in the Championship and would like to stay in the area too.

On his early season form, he may do ok. On his late season form and after being out through injury, he's looked a bit lost (I've seen him a few times this season)

New club, surroundings and better players around may make all the difference

One reservation I have, is that with BS and Ward up front, we'd have the shortest striker pairing in the whole of the football league

Not arsed about this one to be honest.
I think we have enough strikers of that quality, would rather we pushed the boat out for one signing that has the potential and physical attributes to really make the top.....a player like Callum Wilson when he was at Coventry, or a highly regarded kid at a top premier league side who is on the brink of their first team but wants to play every week rather than play in the checkatrade trophy and Chelsea/Man City reserves.

I'm not sure why people talk about these things like we've been beaten to the punch. I don't recall Wilder ever confirming any interest in this player. I think he has other priorities and probably never even enquiries about him.

Spoke to a Rotherham season ticket holder last month, asked him about Ward.

He said that he's clearly talented and before Xmas looked a real player
But since all the transfer talk in the January transfer window his form has dropped and during to the last few months he was very ordinary.

So he said its difficult to make an assessment regards how good he is but he said he's heard that he wants to leave and is definitely going.
