Exactly. Everything I used to enjoy about matchdays had become a pale imitation, I was just going through the motions. Our identity had whittled away down to nothing and I thought it would last a very long time.
Wilder instantly changed that and the transformation has been phenomenal. I don't I've ever felt more involved with the club than right now.
When we concede it doesn't phase me anymore because I know we'll get back into the match and create chances. Also even if we don't win then it doesn't bother me so much because at least we've performed and given it a go.
The permanent stiffy I've had since September
Not a popular choice for this particular forum it seems but......Billy fucking Sharp.
Billy Sharp again.
Knowing the team are going to put a shift in every game. Knowing the manager isn't going to sugar coat his interviews with platitudes about fucking geese. Knowing that we will go and try to win every match instead of making sure we keep hold of the precious fucking point we started with against the likes of Port Vale. Knowing that we are, 9 times out of 10, going to score at least once every match. Knowing that opposition teams are somewhere between respectful and shitting it every time they play us, as opposed to the fucking belly tickling opportunity we offered so many of them last year. Knowing that, regardless of what they say, our neighbours are quietly shitting it at the very real prospect of playing us next season with Tony Ferrino at the helm up against a snarling dyed in the wool Blade. That's what's good about being a Blade at the moment.
seeing my youngest star-struck as the Captain just said "alright" to himJust to reiterate.....
I have an unshakeable feeling that NOTHING is impossible under this management team. It allows me to fantasise daily about what can be achieved.
At 62 years old it's like being given an eternal youth serum, and I love it.

Don't come on here that much (and when I do tend to be more of a graser than poster...) but things must be good wen TD posts a totally positive, non-sarky, lacking vitriol comment (said kindly )Exactly. Similar era, mateThe best bits about being a Blade at the moment...................
is that these moments don't come around too often, and I'm 61...........but now we have CW & AK, then who knows...........these 2 might just break our PO duck............and soon.
UTB
And to finish off (maybe the more consecutive posts the bigger chance of losing that newbie status. ...) this is the BEST AND MOST TOTALLY POSITIVE, FEEL GOOD THREAD I have seen on here in a long timeS
