Park the bus?

Even the driver's pissed. Or maybe they're just avoiding Burslem (who could blame 'em?)

Call me sad. But I know a bit about that bus...

Why, cause that bus is the closest thing to United that I have in Kent..

It's not owned by the club, but by the company. They got the contract at Wembley a few years ago and have retained it, despite the bus and company living in Kent.

Have I been on the bus, yep, too right!

Why, cause when United are at home it's used by Canterbury Rugby club for away games, where my mate is the chef. It is odd going to relatively small rugby grounds and seeing the fully badged up team bus.

So, I luxuriate in the environs on the occasional rugby away trip. Closing my eyes and thinking of what might have been, if I'd been any better at football. Sitting in various seats, pretending to be the players. Sad, Middle Aged but happy!

So far, though I've not trusted myself to sit in Wilder's seat.. My reaction may take a few scrubs to get the seat fully cleaned up...

That's great and don't loose it. You keep dreaming. The world is not just for young uns its for us all and be proud of that story.

Go on, admit it Canterbury Blade you sniffed Wilders seat didn't you

Mate, sniffing it is the least of my wicked sins... If I was a Catholic I'd have to book a confessional slot after each trip.

I will post a photo of said bus at Henley rugby last month. Any other photos are not for this forum..

I'm not a huge rugby fan, its a day out, so may have spent more time 'around' the bus than watching the match!

I suppose we were always going to park the bus at some point this season. It's taken a while!

Oh God, there might be a damp patch. Please don't even look

Back end of the team bus at Henley rugby, enjoying its day out amongst some woodland..

It can tend to confuse the locals when a local rubgy team get off such splendour!

The United team coach before the one above went on to become the Barnsley and Chesterfield team coach.

There's something about travel to Port Vale. Those who have been in recent years have heroic tales to tell of difficult journeys there. It was going on years ago. One of my first away matches was Easter 1957, on the Supporters Club bus. On the journey down it ended up in a ditch; nothing life-threatening, but enough for us to know it wouldn't get us to the game. Fortunately, another coach came by a few minutes later, and took us all on board (breaking any laws of the time on passenger numbers, I assume). Good job it did - we won 6-0.:) Safe journey to all travelling today. A repeat result would just about settle the championship - including goal difference.

What nonsense. You're so old that there weren't any safety leg. in those days ;)
