What's the best way to get round this?

Can see us having 2 of them messen.

I'm thinking of leaving at full-time at the chessy match,a couple of pints in the cricks, then walk back across the road and back into the ground when everybody's had enough of walking around on me bit of desso.

I for one don't think we should be doing pitch invasions at away grounds.
Yes the blessed relief of getting out of this shitty league was too much to resist at Northampton. But I really do think it is disrespectful to these clubs who have openly welcomed us in great numbers, to then "give it large" in front of them and also probaby ruin their pitch.

Would it help if everyone wore soft-soled shoes?

I'm not a pitch invasion lover either but I think if it done with a smile on your face rather than sticking two fingers up to your hosts then it isn't an issue. Northampton seemed particularly keen to share the love. I can't really talk about fans jumping up and celebrating goals at away grounds because I did it at the piggery in the early 90's. I understand it totally. Then again I would understand it if someone wondered down from the stands and clumped you for it.

Remember premature celebration of a goal at Filbert Street some time back got me a right verbal lashing off the crowd, but then when we scored for real they all went very quiet. Mind you it was Leicester so they were pretty quiet throughout.

What I can't stand is the knobheads who go around threatening the locals in their own stands dishing out violence to all and sundry. The sort of minority knobheads all clubs have.

Why invade the pitch? Why spoil it for people

If people invade the pitch after the last home game of the season, as punishment I'll run on myself and probably do a silly embarrassing dance, skip a bit, do the Jan Aage Fjortoft celebration and run back into the Kop red faced.

That'll teach em.

I've never seen pitch invasions as spoiling it for others, providing its at the end of the game and nobody gets hurt i think they can be fantastic.

However, its done now in terms of the emotional out pouring and the need to get on the pitch for that reason.

But, after the last game of the season I always used to love the pitch invasion until they stopped it to allow the players to parade around and quietly applaud, for me, this is too false.

I think it was probably the season when the that the roof was off the kop for the last game of the season (before seats were installed), had we played Norwich? That was the only game i've been on the pitch.

Was thinking that Chesterfield would be a good game to get everyone on the pitch as well, i'll be in the BLUT so won't be going on, but it would be good to see everyone on the pitch

Doing it at Port Vale, Bradford or MK, no thanks.

Hammond appears on average about 38 times a day on this site.

More times than he was ever mentioned on the pitch

Must have been all that unseen work he did

Stay in the stands, let everyone see the players lift the trophy and celebrate . People need to grow up. Yes I can understand last weekend but it can't happen every game now. Knowing our luck the morons who invade the pitch will get us points deduction and the play offs

Don't think everyone is advocating a pitch invasion after every game, but suspect people will run on post Chesterfield. Points deduction after the season has ended? Think your concerns are unfounded!

Why spoil it tho for the old uns who can't/don't wanna go on the pitch? What do you actually get out of goin on the pitch other than to touch 11 sweaty blokes!

Think it's best not to bother today, it would probably incite World War 3.

Where will the trophy be presented after the Chesterfield game? Surely the pitch will be the best viewing area for everyone and it would be sensible for us to be allowed on the pitch anyway?

I would not be very happy too see fans from other clubs running on to our pitch and giving large at our expense.

Imagine Leeds, Wednesday, or other rivals taking the piss this way.

Northampton fair enough but we should not run on to the pitch at away games.

During the 'walk of shame' at the end of the Scunthorpe game last season I counted more players and staff on the pitch than there were fans left in the stands.

Nice of Adkins and Co. to applaud all the guys sweeping the terraces.
