The thing I can't get my head around is that people don't seem to realise that Hanson is not Drogba. Once you accept that and actually look what he does in a game (accepting that his touch isn't always 100% and he doesn't always get his pass accurate but what do you expect for £150k in this league) and you add it to the unselfish work and graft that he does and add that to the times he actually does get it right in either box, we have a very effective player at this level. Ken Jnr was adamant at E start of the season that what we needed was a player in the mold of Hanson - and he was spot on.
Yea, I get a twinge of frustration when a short lay off goes astray and we have to recover the position, yes I get a bit frustrated when he misses a header I think he should have at least troubled the goalkeeper with but then I also recognise what he brings to open play and set pieces and the opportunities he creates for others.
He's been a great addition to this "team" since his arrival.
He's bound to score on Monday too
