Go listen to another cracking interview on radio Sheffield for tomorrows game. You can tell how much it means to him. the club, the fans , everything! We must remember this when times could become tricky next season in the championship!

This should be pinned to the top of the board next season.

Not one manager for as long as I've been alive has avoided an "<insert name> Out" from the stands or on the forums. I fear the first numbskulls will show up around November when we aren't pissing the Championship.
 
It's the constant use of "we" that gets me going.you know he means everyone.. before this season "We" meant the players and coaches and the fans were the just known as "the fans" but with Wilder you know "We" means Billy Sharp, John fleck, everyone on this forum, even those on Bladesmad.. the "PROGRAMMES THREE QUID" programme seller on South stand. The lads that work security on the Tunnel the coaching staff, The groundman, my old man despite him not going in 6 years.everyone who associates themselves in one way or another with Sheffield United comes under that two letter word.
 
Hi its me again,seems a long time ago When Chris and Alan came to your club,We still hold them both with great regard back at sixfields and we welcome you all at sixfields and apart from the game,will party with you and send you up to the Championship where you truly belong.Good luck for next season, still love Chris down here he kept our club alive!
 
CW and AK have done a great job and look as if they are going to deliver promotion at their first attempt. They both know they will have to continue to move us forward next season.

We must remember this when times could become tricky next season in the championship!

Like the sentiment but it will come down to how "tricky" it becomes. So let's hope he hits the ground running in the Championship.
 



Really looking forward to see how this man copes and deals with the championship. If recruitment this season is anything to go by we should be fine in that department. We all know full well it's going to be very tough and I don't expect anything more than just surviving and building from there. He impresses me in every interview, says it how it is and is very honest. Roll on tomorrow night.

That's why it's so frustrating when people start going on about back to back promotions or challenging for top six next season. Yes, it's nice to dream but the likelihood is that a mid table finish is the best we can achieve.

As soon as people start to confuse 'small possibility' with 'probable outcome' problems start. A realistic expectation is a minimum of three years before we properly compete; a year to focus on staying up, a year to consolidate a mid table position and a year pushing for a top six place.

To do it quicker would be nice but anyone who expects more is an idiot and should be treated as such.

We had consecutive promotions from 1988 to 90, true the second one was not expected, but as we had several players up front who could shoot and score for fun it was not entirely unexpected in my view at the time. Alot depends on if a team has enough offensive capability to make them more scared of us than we are of them.

When I lived in London my flat mate was a Fulham fan. They were in the doldrums at the time and they were getting really p****d off with their chairman, Alan Dicks who they really wanted to resign. One game I attended, the Fulham fans were venting their anger, chanting, "Dicks out! Dicks out!"

A more extreme version of shoes off in the car park, I guess. Laugh? I thought my trousers would never dry.
