Koeman has a Youth Policy, we don't, just now.

Everton play young lads so that they can gain Premier League experience, three in the derby game last weekend.

We don't do that in League 1.

Who is right, who is wrong? Interesting question.

Is Koeman more secure in his job than Wilder?

I think it's all about our first big hurdle. I expect one or two youngsters to get in the side by merit next season.

By so that they can gain Premier League experience, you mean so that they can actually field eleven players because they have a trillion injuries?

Brace yourselves.......

A morning shitstorm is coming.

Nurse! Take him away!

I've been told the prince is willing to throw a lot of money at the squad next year. But only on devout Muslim players.

What a kerfuffle!

I suppose it depends if Everton have anything to play for.
They won't win out, won't go down now. He can afford to blood a few now to see how they do, and help him decide his transfer policy in the summer.

As for the Derby game, I thought Everton kept the ball very well at times in midfield and the score perhaps flattered Liverpool but their young lads were mixed in success for me. The kid Holgate I thought struggled defensively, and was wasteful going forwards too.
DCL I thought was also quite average, he hardly had the ball and when he did often lost it. He looks an athlete, but was regularly outmuscled by the defenders.
To me, and this is nothing to do with sour grapes about him leaving, I don't see him as anything spectacular and remain astonished he got the move he did and had had some game time.

But we shall see if he proves me wrong in time.

Oh but devout Muslim players bring so much to the team.

Of course the OP is of an age where they can also be merely classed as 'black'.

What youth players do we have who might improve what we have in the first team at present?

To be fair I think we've had a pretty productive academy in the last 15 -20 years. The problem is that when you're lower down the league(s) the better a homegrown player gets, the sense of the inevitably of their departure to a premier league team increases.

I'd bloody love it if, one day, we had a quality team that had a steady stream of great local players growing into it, for the long term.

1. Maybe their youth players are ready and ours aren't better than their elders.
2. Maybe their squad issues require testing the youth
3. Maybe if we were in seventh, and finishing there would be considered an entirely satisfactory finish, we could gamble on some youngsters

This is one of the least interesting questions of the season.

Koeman got his selection and tactics completely wrong, Stupid to play the youngsters ahead of Miralis and Barry.
At Anfield you need senior experienced players who know what they are doing, Pennington and Calvert Lewin were piss poor.
Those comments came from 2 of my friends both die hard Evertonians, I can only concur fully with their views.

Apparently a couple of detectives have questioned Peter Sutcliffe about another 17 attacks.

This is one of the least interesting questions of the season.

Maybe if we'd scoured the lower divisions and bought all the decent young talented players with our millions of Premiership money, we too might be playing kids.

But generally, we have to sell them to build the squad we need.

It'll be interesting to see how Wilder recruits once he's got a settled squad in the Premier League.

I'd tell you to stop doing this to yourself WWF but I don't think you would listen.

Judging by the look of his youth against Liverpool on Saturday, he's either desperately short of players or playing them under orders.

Either way, I'm glad we're not repeating their policy.
