When we look at the league table and our current record it feels great.

However, if we ignore those first 4 games our record is fantastic:-

Played 34, Won 23, Drawn 8, Lost 3, GD 34, Points 77

Keep that going and we fly to the title, take a fantastic momentum into next year and look like an amazing club to come to for any summer targets.

Tufty will have getting on for 200 points in 2 seasons - I wonder what the 2 season record is for a manager.

If we repeat our first 8 games of the season we would get the 10 points needed for promotion.

Well that's my magic number anyway for 3 wins and a draw

And if we take all the losses and draws out we would be averaging 3 points a game.

How wonderful is that?

Season includes all games whenever they're played.

Lies, damn lies and statistics and all that

My point was that the other 4 games all came at the beginning, and so the numbers that I quoted are for a genuine continuous run of fixtures up until the present.

In answer to my other question on 2 season manager totals - for those interested - the best that I can find is Madkins with 180 with the Saints in 10/11 and 11/12. Tufty got 99 with Northampton last year so only needs another 4 to beat Madkins total.
