A ' Hacky Blade ' !

I used to go in the Blue Bell down there back in the day . A load of Blades in there if memory serves me reight ;)

I remember some heavy pre-season sessions in there with an ex player of ours ..... he was off his fuckin head then too :D:D

Me mum used to work down Blue Bell. Met me dad through that certain ex-player. Guess I was really meant to be born a Blade :D

Dad took me when I was about four in 1962, I don't remember much about it. My first real memories are standing on the cricket pitch watching.

I don't live in Sheffield anymore and work Saturdays and it feels like a part of me is missing which I try to fill by coming on this forum

Love the blades ,much more than just supporting a team ,so proud of the fact we have come out of the last 6 years a bigger stronger better supported club

A true Phoenix from the flames

Mine was around 1962 my old man came from a non football family living in sharrow he came home from school on his first day and my grandparents asked how it had been all he could say was which team do I support my Grandad didn't care but my Old nan said well we are closest to Bramall Lane and if your feedings support United then support them.so he did

Got married moved to Hillsborough had me let me grow up there he left and moved back leaving me over that way in a Johnny Cash boy named sue kinda way "A Blade in Hillsborough.

QPR at home on New Year's Day was my first game I was 4 don't remember anything about it. My first memory of Being a blade was that later in that season we we're sat at the front on John St and a piece of slate fell off the roof hitting me and the Steward basically said "Be Reyt" imagine if that had happened now I'd be getting paid out a fortune

I was 12 years old when my cousin took me to my first game - the last game of the 1960-61 season. United beat Middlesborough 4-1 after securing promotion 2 games earlier.

I was born and raised in Heeley Bottom until I left the UK in 1964 at age 15. The last 2 games I attended were against Wolves over the Easter weekend 1-1 away on Monday and 4-3 at home on Tuesday. We left Sheffield for Australia the day after.

Finally saw them play again in August 2008 against QPR. Blades won 3-0 - Sharp scored a hat trick and to top it off the day was my 60th birthday.

Even after living in Melbourne for the last 53 years I've never stopped following the mighty Blades.

Went to my first game aged 6 weeks as my lovely Mum didn't want to miss the match.

Although I probably had no choice, I would not change a thing. Once a Blade always a Blade!!

Mum follows the Blades because she's a contrary bugger and her parents were from the dark side of the city - so she took my sister and five year old me to the open day at the end of the 1983/84 promotion season and I've been hooked ever since. Got photos of me with King Keith in the car park and stood in the centre circle and Bramall Lane goalmouth.

That said Dad is a Hull City fan so the first game I ever went to was Hull 0 Blades 0 at Boothferry Park in about April 1987. We were sat in the Hull end and by all accounts I cheered for Hull but while I don't believe it I suspect I'll have just been copying my Dad. By the time of my next game (also v Hull, also a 0-0 draw but this time at the Lane in 1989) I definitely knew it was all about the Blades.

So I'll always thank Mum for that little gift.
