Che Adams :- submarine

The difference a clinical striker can make to a side was made obvious early in the second half as Birmingham forward Adams had no fewer than four chances to level the game in two minutes - miscuing two headers from six-odd yards, steering a shot over then forcing a good save from Green after getting in behind. (SKY report)

Haven't we got a sell on clause? Which if correct we should be willing him on. But like has been said we got the incomings off the back of him and it's out of our hands and only in his hands for us to see any financial reward.

Playing him up top on his own is an 'interesting' decision...

But as I said in the shoutbox, both tonight and v. Wolves the commentators were raving about him.

I don't wish the lad ill, but I'm just not seeing it. A lone striker needs to produce the end product and as shown tonight, he's lacking the clinical finish his chances in the box needed.

Che is without doubt our least missed "best player" sale.

My prediction is he will playing for Rotherham or Walsall or Doncaster in League One within two years.

As I said at the time, we signed him at the height of the Ched Evans thing really only to troll Jean Hatchet. The lad scored a few and brought in a decent wedge when he fucked off so a great bit of business. Looked about as fit as me and it sounds like he's being coached by Darren Huckerby these days.

Why all the hate for Che?

He left get over it

It may represent hate for some on here S11 . for me , however , the overriding emotion is one of hilarity . Quite how the fucking hell we got close to 2 million pounds for him is , frankly , so bewildering its hilarious .

We well and truly had their pants down with this one .

On a seperate note ..... the dirty unwashed ones from West Yorkshire havent gone ' pop ' yet . I thought theyd have blown up some time ago .

The lad is only 20 and has bags of potential, I'd gladly have him back for next season.

He's scored 4 goals in the Championship this season, which isn't bad compared to Hanson (5), Lavery (3), Clarke (3), Done (2) and McNulty (1).

Surely we'd rather have Adams than any of the players listed above?

On the contrary, honestly, I would rather have any of the current Blades lads playing for us than Che Adams. This season, next season, or whenever. Honestly, I do not get it about Che. I was never overly bothered about him or thought that he was all that. Just think he looked better than most in a team of total dross last season (Billy exempt) and I think he will soon be plying his trade in the lower leagues with his heart of a pea.

Give me Hanson and Lavery over Adams any day in both heart and ability.

Clarke, Done and McNulty - yes.

Lavery and Hanson - nope. Hanson offers us something we'll need next season, and I'm loving Lavery's cameos from the bench!

It's difficult to compare Hanson with Adams as they are completely different players, but we're talking about a 21 year old who has shown potential at Championship level vs a 30 year old who has never played above League One level. Hanson might have one or two average seasons of 10 goals maximum at Championship level (can't see him getting that many myself) while Adams has the potential to go to the Premier League.

Lavery I'd agree, at his age could still develop further and prove to be a Championship level player but at the moment he has only scored 3 goals in team which is top of League One, I'd like to seem him giving Wilder more of a selection head ache than he is right now. At the moment Adams is younger and ahead of Lavery.

I'm not saying our strikers are completely shit and we should get rid of them all, I'm just saying that Adams is a better player (Sharp excluded).

Really potential Premier league? the lad would sooner be in the night club than on the training ground, ill disciplined and work shy means the best he will get is bumming around the lower leagues and then when he reaches 30 wondering what could have been.

Who is your source at Birmingham?

He's started the last four matches, I wouldn't expect to see that if he's a poor trainer who likes to go out regularly.

You are perfectly entitled to your view of course, but do you not find it odd that everyone else on this thread thinks he is not?

The kid who was fantastically sharp against Spurs at BDTBL morphed into a fat unprofessional young man who seemed to enjoy the trappings too much. For chunks of last season, it was a toss up whether to go with him of Connor Sammon. That is how poor he was.

Well rid for excellent money and we've moved on. Simply 'end of' in my book.
