FIFA Ratings (If You're Bothered)

Noticed something funny when I turned on FIFA today.

Usually the gaming franchise does little to acknowledge our team's personnel, formation or form. However, that has definitely changed as reflected in this weeks form update. A hint of how far this team has come in such a short period.

Here are a few ratings:

Billy Sharp
69 ▲ 73

John Fleck
69 ▲ 72

Chris Basham
70 ▲ 73

Jake Wright
64 ▲ 69

Based on current form a certain £10m striker from Sheffield Wednesday has had the following downgrade:

Jordan Rhodes
74 ▼ 70

So there you have it - Billy Sharp is a better striker than Jordan Rhodes.

I noticed on FIFA that we just won the Champions League. Haven't seen it mentioned in the press yet.

They say that CBs reach their peak around 30, Wright's age now. Anyone else think he could cut it at a higher level? Playing in a back 3 I could see it.

Without a doubt, he shows vision and anticipation that defenders at this level just don't possess.

Probably one that slipped through the net in the lower leagues.

Wright doesn't have exceptional technique or athleticism but where he does excel is his on the pitch decision making. I can't recall him once making the wrong decision whilst wearing a blades shirt. Has that touch of Paul McGrath about him,
