Guy on Facebook is a friend of the fella, posted picture of him on a stretcher. He got blindsided by one of the bastards. But he says he's fine, there was a lot of blood, but not as bad as it looked.
He was waiting to meet up with him in the pub.

Thanks for sharing that. he looked in a bad way as we went past.

I saw the poor bloke laid out and a lady was holding his head on the kerb with a couple of other people in assistance. There was a lot of blood on the floor but his eyes were open, the poor guy just seemed very frightened.
Two police officers had a youth in the road with cuffs on him about fifty yards away having chased through a large crowd to collar him.
Well done to the police as I saw them run from the other side of the road check the guy who was down then continued the chase as the ambulance was on its way.
Such a horrible thing to see at a game of football.

I have been informed by a friend that Boltons scummy fans attacked one of ours mob handed and the guy ended up getting slashed with a broken bottle and this is the result he was attacked 11 on 1 apparently by the utter cowards.
Hopefully it's not as bad as we feared looking at that picture.

On a slightly more light-hearted note, two Bolton fans were giving some of our lads abuse from behind the locked gates of the student flats at the junction of Arley Street and Sheldon Street. Lots of gesturing and threats, then I saw this woman with a small girl cross the road, heading for the gates. This us going to be fun I thought, she's going to go through the gates and our lot will charge in after them. But no, she presses her face up against the gate and lets forth a volley of expletives about how brave the Bolton lads are, making threats from behind a locked gate, and all the time with a very young girl holding her hand!

There were a few blokes about 2:25 on Shoreham Street with Bolton attire singing and making inflammatory comments on the way to the away end, say they were about 21-45. All very convenient that it was just families about at that time. Didn't see them at 14:50 or 16:50. Cowards.
The Lancashire bastards. Cowardly scum aren't they?Stabbing someone , is that their alternative to "taking" the Kop ?
Where are the old bill when actually needed?

Said it too many times, if you want to get into a fight then it's easy enough to find yourself a boxing/MMA gym, or martial arts club, where you'll find no end of good lads who'll go as many rounds as you want. The only reason to get in a big group and go round looking to cause trouble is because you're a very small, insecure cunt.
If they had done their homework there are a number of pubs on London road they could have frequented to adopt this behaviour rather than single out an innocent fan. Oh wait a minute they did do their homework they where no where to be seen fucking cowards. Disgraced to say I live a Bolton area. Always thought they where a set of backward simple cunts

Bolton fans will be known as dirty scum by all our fans for all time now. Cowardly Lancashire twats .

Absolute scum, they were trying to cause trouble from the off. A few of their fans walked down John street before the game confronting some fans

Erm . For once Old Bill was on to it like a rat upa pipe. Please keep up .:)

To be fair, has anyone ever known SYP not to take the opportunity to wade into football fans when given the opportunity?

Hope the little shit took a few sharp knees to the kidneys as he was detained.

That's good to hear. What a team and performance. Been a long time since the club has felt this good!

With the little'un at Shirecliffe this morning didn't make it down to the lane until 2.55pm. Some bloke in his fifties (with several other Bolton Fans) was giving it large on the corner opposite the Railway, chanting 'Wednesday, Wednesday', and telling Blades fans to 'F*** **f''. Not the brightest move to be honest. He kicked a young lad in the stomach and then abused another lad who was walking along. The Blade took a couple of steps away and then just turned and lamped him with one punch, took him about a minute to get up off the floor. ....Laugh.....well yes to be honest....

I once heard that one of the worst instances of Blades hooliganism involved their fans getting battered at Burnden.

I'm no advocator of football violence but it's quite funny to think of it all the same.

Really? They were lucky to be alive then. Wouldn't want to mess with that John Street crowd. Being thrashed with a flat-cap is no way to go.

You've confused me. Do you mean, "involved the Bolton fans getting battered at Burnden?"
