Yet refreshingly, our gaffer still sees and outlines the need for improvement in certain areas! :D This my Sheffield United brothers and sisters is why I love Chris Wilder!

We played Scunthorpe off the park (especially in the first half) and truth be said, in hindsight we should have walked off the pitch with 3 points in the bag!....Wilder was quick to acknowledge where he felt we went wrong, ok he was satisfied with the overall performance (but then again weren't we all!)...

Today we rip Bolton to pieces for large parts of the game and in the second half Bolton's players looked like they just wanted to get off the pitch, get showered and get on the coach home!......Wilder rightly points out that we allowed them to much time and gave them to much respect / credit in small spells of the match...and he wants this putting right!.....But again takes nothing from the performance!

He speaks with so much pride.....not only for his club, but for his team...who he strongly believes in!

I love this man!!

They looked shell shocked after the second hit the net, never really recovered. To give them credit, they did a tremendous job in the first half of keeping our midfield off the ball, but the one time they linked up we cut through them for the goal. They forced a lot of free kicks in dangerous positions and it's a huge positive that we never let them get a chance. They didn't force a difficult save from Moore over the ninety minutes. That was a very good Bolton side. We were better.

Chris was rather scathing of Parkinson's post match comments. Nice to hear.

He takes no crap from anyone but doesn't allow himself to get drawn into situations, he simply says what he thinks (which generally is what most of us think but without the swear words) and then moves on.

People draw similarities between him and Warnock and to an extent I do see where people are coming from however not completely because Wilder is really tact and doesn't show us up in the same manner as Warnock did at times.

Amen to that. I thought Bolton were strong, worthy opponents. The fact that we wore them down and destroyed their spirit says more about us than how poor Bolton were. There are many people on here saying how bad BW were, I don't agree. We haven't had many stronger opponents this season.

Bolton were undoubtedly better than Scunthorpe, as I expected them to be. But this time we won the game comfortably. Deservedly. The last week has shown how far ahead of these two and everybody else we are. It could well be Fleetwood that join us in the top 2.

I thought Peterborough were excellent on the day when they visited the Lane, Fleetwood were very solid but frankly we massively underperformed, and Scunthorpe and Bolton look well worthy of their current league standings. Haven't seen another team that's really impressed me. If pushed I'd say that first half for Bolton is probably the best we've faced. Second half we showed them up.

Funny you say that, because I thought 2nd half last week Scunthorpe caused us more problems than Bolton caused us all game today.

Different circumstances. We were throwing everything forward vs. Scunthorpe and that gave them opportunities on the break. Today we were simply rock solid across the pitch and gradually took control of things.

Maybe, but we defended better today and throughout the game Bolton were much harder to play through than Scunny were. And as Poker says, different circumstances.

You can get 5/1 Blades from Fleetwood top 2

Or 50/1 the other way around

penalty taking today

750 k billy sharp scored
10 million pound flop Rhodes , missed

money well wasted by the oinkers
Thought he was on loan with the pigs , and only being signed when they romp to promotion , to the promised land of untold riches .
so therefore are only paying his wages , I could be wrong but I don't think our massive friends have committed that much up front , don't think the ladyboy trusts him with the money anymore ,
hence the big spend on " come on Kes's " forward .

Early days for Rhodes admitted, but one goal in 6 for 10m sheckles seems to be an awful lot and couple that to the 5m sheckles for Reach and it's becoming apparent Gibson has had their pants down

Long may that continue

well Rhodes miss probably totally ended automatic chase some owls fans thought was still on prior to brentford game
results commensurate with their performances was bound to catch up on them

Big difference, Wilder is all about the Blades, Warnock was all about Warnock.

Thank god we didn't get that Parkinson fella as manager, his tactics from what I can see is fill the team with big fookers and play for set pieces.

Although they didnt create much at 1-0 and to an extent 2-0 they were a free kick, long ball into the box away from a fortunate goal, I was still worried even towards the end, even though we were playing well and looking to score again, I thought for the first time this season we, late on played too deep,

Stats from our last two matches:

We had 27 shots
Bolton and Scunny had a combined 2 shots on target
57% possession v Bolton, 62% vs Scunny

But if you listened to Alexander and Parkinson post-match they spun quite a different tale...
