From the OS said:
Chris Lucketti has been granted a free transfer to join Huddersfield Town.
The experienced Blades defender did not feature heavily for the Blades last season and finished the season on loan at Southampton, where he helped keep the Saints in the Championship.
Lucketti, 36, played more than 20 games for the Blades after signing when the club were on the verge of reaching the Premiership. He is also a former Huddersfield Town player and chalked up 75 appearances for them in a two-year spell.
He joins up once again with Stan Ternant, who was one of his managers at Bury earlier in his career.
Blades boss Kevin Blackwell sanctioned the move and paid tribute to Lucketti:
"It's a fantastic move for Chris whom I have always regarded as a terrific professional. A two year contract at a good club with a good manager is great for him and he will do well for them. IN fact, I will be putting a few bob on Huddersfield for promotion!"

Good Luck to Lucky !!

Don't think he would have gone to play for Stan Ternent if Warnock had still been at the Lane!;)

I always thought he was pretty solid in every match he played and i would rather have seen ehiogu go to be honest

Fair play to Lucky, you never heard a peep of discontent during his long spells in the reserves / on the bench.

I think he will be a real success at 'uddersfield.

See him on August 3rd at the Galpharm then, he was aproud servant of SUFC so good luck to him

Chris Lucketti has left Sheffield United with a heartfelt thankyou to the Club and supporters for helping him realise a dream.

The 36 year old joined Huddersfield Town on a free transfer - back to one of his former clubs - and acknowledged what he was able to achieve with the Blades:

"United helped me fulfil my biggest ambition which was to play in the top flight. It was fantastic to do that, and definitely the highlight of my career."

Whilst not out of contract at the Lane he felt that moving on gave him an opportunity he couldn't turn down:

"It's a Club I know well, it is only twenty minutes from home and in Stan Ternent they have a manager who I served as captain at Bury - we are comfortable with each other.

"As for the Blades, I had a lovely time there at a fantastic club with a great set of lads. I got to know some proper people at United who I will be staying friends with for a long time.

"And the fans were something else. They were always fair and encouraging to me which made them very special top play for."

From OS .

means we need another CB!

good luck to him!

good luck lucky
always thought he was good cover but hes loosing a bit more every season

Good luck to him, I was rather wary upon his signing, however he was reliable whenever he was needed.

He has been made captain straight away at Huddersfield so looks like it is a very good move for him.

He looked too slow and seemed a liability last season when he played, a complete contrast when in the Premiership when he won every header and tackle he went for
