The Stir up to their old tricks again..

Tell you what. It might bite a bit when you use it, but the Star doesn't half sweep the remnants from round your nipsy when you've just dropped the kids off at the pool in emergency mode behind some garages or inside the bushes in the park. Even the more 'loose' movement which leaves that uneasy feeling that your undermeat is looking like a Nagasaki sunset, a couple of dampened, scrunched up pages of the sporting section tends to absorb and capture any residuals and prevent 'beige-out' later in the day.*

*You may need to find a proper latrine later on mind to finish the job.

Come on here. Do you really think the photographer has instructions from The Stars Editor to only take pic's showing empty seats so as to piss off Sheffield United fans. If you do then you are being a bit silly.
Yes, i agree that sometimes we get left behind in their journalism between the 2 clubs and tend not to bother with it anymore but stories like this make us look stupid.

Fuck the Star. Don't buy it or give them advertising revenue by clicking on the site. At the same time, when subtle or unsubtle bs is detected by the Blades fanbase, make sure it is put on media platforms so as many blades as possible are aware of it . Does anyone know if they did a follow up to their Coventry story, after Cov's own fans and opposition fans were subsequently against the methods of protest? They made us look bad over that one, eh?

I don't think anybody really believes that either since you ask. But if I was the Star's photographer I'm absolutely sure I could take a better picture capturing all the elements of the moment, crowd, atmosphere, passion, joy and despair.

For me that's what the OP is about, shit photo's plain and simple.

True they rarely get amazing photographs and they are right there next to the bloody pitch!

Probably not. There has, however, been a constant effort to accentuate the support and massiveness of Wednesday. In a city with two big clubs this is likely to create the perception that there big and we're small - insignificant and naturally inferior. Creating a perception is everything with newspapers, sadly. Could anybody tell me if they've been raving about our support this season?

Strange though that out of the hundred or so pictures a photographer takes during a game they pick out two possibly the only two showing empty seats when the rest of the ground is rammed.

Also this one of JO'C in front of fans.

As someone said, the Star (also the SUFC) snapper is mostly behind the goal so some pics will invariably be in front of away end. Nothing more sinister than that!

You say that, but a quick glance at the match photos on our official website suggests that this sinister activity is spreading to the club.

Car park demo tomorrow morning chaps.

I think the whole Star/Radio Sheffield favouring Wednesday is pretty pathetic to be honest and nothing but paranoia.

If you run a local newspaper or radio station, why the fuck would you risk alienating a good proportion of your readers/listeners?

Football rivalries run deep, but not deep enough to put yourself out of a job!

Maybe he ought to get off his arse and walk 20 yards to get a better photo. After all he's supposed to be a professional photographer.

How do you know he didn't? I'm pretty sure he will have taken more than two photos yesterday!

Part paranoia at times like this OP but also part based on truth when you look at who works at The Star.

They already have alienated their readership hence why fewer people are buying it.

I'd argue that fewer people buy newspapers in general these days and it has nothing to do with the Star favouring Wednesday or being anti United.

They have been highlighted already on this thread and others endlessly on here. Hence my not so serious response.

Although you know who they are anyway, as most of your posts on this forum have been on threads about The Star.

If your one of the younger fans ask your dad/grandad about The Stir,s S.O.O,s. campaign.Utter biased rag.

Which sort of backs up my point, out of all those photo's they choose two showing empty seats.

Duh!

Do you not know that everybody who works at Sheffield United is secretly biased towards Sheffield Wednesday?

Get with it.

Pretty sure you are in conversation with Danny Hall from The Star and not Danny04, Blades fan aged 40 something as his profile suggests

No offense intended, but I think you need to really, really think about who the sad bastard is here.

It's two photographs on the website of a local paper. This shouldn't upset you this much.

They've put two photographs on and managed to get both with empty seats I see it as deliberate pal, as for throwing insults my way.. meh

I figured that was probably the case.

Also the only other thread they were involved with that wasn't related to The Star, it appears they got shown up for talking utter crap.
