I'll take that

I thought we played brilliantly..

...but at the end of the day it was two points dropped against 10 men and we can't ignore that side of it.

Huge pressure now next week, that is now a must win if it wasn't before

I agree we played really well and made them look poor today for most of it so that's the only bit that's made it a bit harder to take was unlucky not to come away with 3 points there. But I'll take it another game gone by where scunny and Bolton haven't gained any points on us. Still top of the league, still same points difference on to the next game now and play like that and I think we will be coming away with 3 points next time. Brilliant in the first half dropped off a bit in the second half but still a brilliant performance from them all. UTB!

What can't be ignored from that today is that only one of those teams can genuinely look forward with real belief and optimism that this could be the start of something.

You might not ignore it - but what would you do about it?

No it's not.

It's important but it isn't must win, even if we had lost today.

Mathematically it isn't I accept that, on the mind and mental side of it is. If we were to lose next week then Bolton will get a huge boost and there is also the very real possibility of Fleetwood making it a four way race for the top two with a win next game out.

First half we played some excellent football, second half was frustrating. Too often not playing the simple ball and trying too many flicks and dummies.

As I said I though we were brilliant today, but we didnt win and that is hugely frustrating.

Scunthorpe won't be in the auto race in a couple of weeks time, no need to worry about them, Bolton are terribly inconsistent, Millwall are the ones we need to worry about nore than any.

We did play superb football at times. We just need to be more ruthless with our finishing and more accurate with our crossing. Coutts, Basham, O'Connell particularly good today with Fleck absolute class. If only we had had a bit of Wednesday's fortune, we'd have won handsomely. Still a terrific performance and well done all the players and especially CW for giving us all our pride back.

A point today was always going to be a better result for us than them. In the context of that ninety minutes, it's an incredible result for them. I've been really cautious about my optimism, but I'm going to say it: one of those sides looked a class above this division.

We genuinely looked like a side from a higher league today. Incredible they are in 2nd based purely on today. Frustrating but a really good performance

Well a bit closer to the finish line and only Fleetwood have made any ground on us, they are the form team to watch. It will be interesting in 2 weeks when they go to Scunthorpe.

First half was as good a performance as I've I seen in the last twenty years,

Second half I think we made two mistakes, being asleep from the second half kick off and not bringing Lavery on 10 minutes earlier to get at the tired defenders.

Mixed feelings coming away from that one TBH.

Time for some serious thinking now, guys!
Is an excellent display of FOOTBALL any compensation for a less than perfect result?

Why is it huge pressure on us? Avoid defeat and we're bang in the driving seat. It's a must win for Bolton so they're the ones feeling the pressure. Wilder is top man and we have a bloody good and solid squad so chill out and enjoy the ride. The Blades are back!

UTBFTFP

I thought we played really well first half - totally dominated and should have been in front. Second half I was a bit disappointed that we didn't do more, particularly when they went down to 10 men

Clearly we were the better team but it does feel like we missed a great opportunity to open up more of a gap at the top.

Our record against the teams at the top is poor but hopefully we can start to address that next week.

Superb support from the Blades' fans today. Never heard their fans until they scored.

Yes. Massively. The only time it isn't is in one offs like knock out tournaments. When you've got fifteen games to go, knowing that you have a team capable of putting out that kind of quality is what matters. If we'd been played off the park like they were, all we'd be talking about is how we aren't good enough to hold onto this position. Instead, we can have the confidence to say that keeping our standards up will put us where we want to be.

Heard someone on the radio say he would've taken a point before the game. My head nearly exploded.

That was a poor result for us today.

I never thought we woukd lose today through all the build up this week.

I am not so sure about next week, Bolton are another Walsall, we never seem to beat them.

Amazing that Scunny didn't get seriously embarrassed today, though their fans must have gone away with an inferiority complex despite being chuffed to leave with a point. Funny old game, but I remember playing them off the park before and losing 4-0!

We're much better than Bolton and it's unlikely they'll beat us but they've beaten us twice already so we could've done without the pressure there will now be on that game. Anything could happen and if we do lose today's result looks awful.
