Why are our players or any players come to that not capable of playing 3 games in 7 days unless they are injured ? Tennis players play 5 sets 2 or 3 times a week and their fitness is far superior to footballers. If their fit get them on the pitch.

  • no one kicks tennis players (no body contact)
  • Only the very top players (top 10 in the world) actually cope well with that, which is why the same players keep winning top tournaments.
Our strong squad should be a good factor

Yea. Fans are proper cunts aren't they. Hoping and expecting professional highly paid athletes can run around for 90 minutes 2 or 3 ntimes a week.
Fuckin fans.
Cunts the fuckin lot with their 6 12 hour shifts a week easy fuckin lives.
Cunts.
61/2 hours work fuck off. It's 24 hours a day 365 days a year, round the clock commitment. Fuck off back to the terraces where you can talk bollocks without seeing 95% of the picture.

Maybe we should have signed Andy Murray, Roger Federer and Novak Whatsisname in the transfer window?

I said 6 x 12 hours you retard.
I manage a football team and have for 6 years. Its not hard if you have a brain.
You clearly don't. But living in S4 explains that.

I feel, for you Bladesthorpe, now go and wash your face in the toilet bowl.
Thanks for that intelligent reply Cahill, your explanation of the question asked say's a lot about your knowledge of different sports.:tumbleweed:

Id be interested to know what level this is at, it doesn't particularly sound like you expect a lot from your players, either that or its complete bollocks. As for s4, haven't lived there for years.

I expect everything of my players. We are in pole position to win the league. I am FA 2 qualified which is more than plenty if you know what football is about. You clearly have anger isues which don't interest me. Crack on with your testosterone issues. And maybe move back to S4. It suits you.

Poor analogy.

In a tennis tournament each player plays an opponent who has also previously played a game. Two players playing in a final might be at 80% of the fitness levels they had at the start of the tournament, but all is equal because they are both at 80%.

In football you have the ability to sub players in who are fresher. So whilst the majority of your team might be at 80% having played a few days earlier, those who are subbed in are at 100%.
Bloody hell Bladey don't hit me with all these percentages, my heads aching anyway after putting it down the bog.;)

UEFA B licence, 7 years as a (just about) pro. Yes, I do get angry when people question the work ethic and lifestyle of footballers, I get equally annoyed when the highest standards aren't ensured by the people in charge.

No matter the circumstances people always have to find something to complain about. Yes he used his squad and rested a few, that's what managers do when they're playing for something.

We got a solid away point on a night Scunthorpe were held at home and we have key players nice and fresh with no knocks for a huge game at the weekend. Result.

Wilder knows what he's doing. Trust him.

So you're way more qualified than I am. Fair play to you. Dosen't mean I don't care as passionately or know less about how to motivate, manage, nurture or castigate. I insist on the highest standards and spend way too much valuable time butting heads with the FA who clearly don't. Good luck with your project.

Sean , always respect what you say , but hope you and the fella S4 have room and respect for stupid knob head fans like me who get emotionally involved and have a opinion of the game especially thick twat footballers who live life by differant rules and some don't know how lucky they are .

Fuck me , premiership , be all and fucking end all .

Sermon over . S4 fans ain't thick and have to pay for the pleasure of watching previous shit.

Couldn't agree with you more mate, and that was kinda my point with S4.

Its widely accepted that the longer you spend on the court in the early rounds of a grand slam, the less chance you have of reaching/winning the final.

I know fans ain't thick pal, and I know everybody has the right to an opinion. It just grates on me when you get twats posting bollock with no purpose other than to slag off footballers fitness, commitment and the basics of modern game. Oh, why can't they do this, or that, they should be able to. How would I like it if I turned up at your work and doubled tomorrow's workload? My simple opinion is, you can have all the opinion you like, just don't attack my players.

  • Sorry mate, that's bollocks. I've kicked my brother all over the place on more than one occasion after he was making me chase the ball round the court. It never stopped him the twat, I was sweating my bollocks off. :)

Where's all the batnball bores telling us cricketers play 5 days in a row ?? Unless there's some light drizzle of course.

They do and the quick bowlers are often rested to prevent over-use injuries. Bit like SUFC. :)

Tennis players also get an extended break every few minutes and a few seconds doing nothing every few seconds. Do that at any level of football, as Iniesta did tonight in the Champions League, and the results shouldn't be surprising.

I'd have taken any form of undefeated through this game and the next two, job done for me

They are capable of,playing 3 games.....but perhaps not all 3 games to the levels needed.

Freeman has hardly missed a game all season.
As for the tennis comparison....totally different kind of fitness. Yes they can play for 3 hours....but it's shorter spells of running with regular breaks of a minute or so.
Plus without the contact involved.....totally different

Not only that. They don't play anything like as well in their third (or even second) 'five setter' in a week. There are examples of this at every grand slam.

Does the game not stop when the ball goes out of play, goal kick, throw in, corner, players getting booked/sent off, injured or time wasting. Plus half time that's now gone from 10 mins to 20 mins, have a look on Saturday and see how stop start the game is and how long the game flows without interruption, I think you may be surprised.

Have you played Tennis and Football? I have and I've never done six 100m sprints and six jogs in ten minutes playing tennis.
