a lot have said our record v top 6 could stop us
surely conversely what will our record v below 10th teams do
we have 11 games left against 10th and below clubs
we have to play 19th 20th 22nd 23rd 24th
our record against these is impeccable

our last 9 games are all bottom half clubs except Bradford

we need 8 maybe 9 wins
looking at whats left
would you say it was probable, rather than possible

Has all the kick off times changed? :)

Guaranteed to be the Northampton game where we clinch promotion as that's the only match I don't think I'll be able to get a ticket for. Only got 37,000 points. Would be the best birthday present ever to see that :(

Ive tried to see a way we can blow it
but logic says we are just too damn good
unless we have a game where 5 are sent off and the other 6 get cruciate ligament injuries in the same game , we are so much better than at least 11 of those teams yet to play , even on a bad day

I haven't a clue how many games we need to win

However, 8 wins seems low to me unless you are including beating both Scunny and Bolton in those

wigan won it last year with 87 points, we are on more points than wigan were at this stage
8 wins gets us there
9 90 points
plus a couple of draws
9 wins 2 draws 4 defeats 92 points
8 wins 2 draws 5 defeats 89

no one under us is collecting points at that rate to overtake us
never mind 2 teams

only a blades fan can see us not winning many
but can see other teams going rampant all of a sudden ,,, why

8 wins + inevitable 2 draws = 89 points minimum.

Would be shocked if that wasn't enough for 2nd. And it would take quite a collapse not to win 8 out of 15.

Im not saying its over , just saying how we are playing , and we are still the form team
with the games left we look to be in a very strong position, with a very nice run in last 9
If we can get 10 to 12 points out of the next 6 games
cant see us not finishing top

I don't actually see any other teams going rampant, just experience says that if we can snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, we'll manage it and I suspect many others feel a bit this way, although with CW it doesn't feel quite like that this time around.

As I say, I haven't a clue how many wins we need, just as long as we have one point more than 3rd spot come 46 games and that'll do me

One game at a time and that's the next one is all I focus on

Irrespective of our current record against the top 6 surely our home advantage and superb away record will see us through?

this is what we need to get past
the past
surprisingly we have gone up before
Ive seen us do it 8 times, and this teams better than most of those
its not a clough team its not an adkins team , its a good team, and one thats getting better as players slot in

what the big big difference is is Chris Wilder and Knills preparation and motivation

a collapse is just not acceptable to these two, and highly unlikely

weve had our share of shit,,, its our time

why not look at it from wilders point of view

he kept calm last season from this point and won the title
surely
he knows now what to do to see us over the line
its fresh in his memory
lets not go on former players letting us down
let focus on our title winning manager seeing us over the line

What is the point of speculating? If it doesn't go to plan and you have to recalculate you will be worried and bleating. One game at a time. I remember a couple of seasons when "we couldn't go down" according to all the calculations. The calculations don't take into account alleged bent devious cheating twats in the alleged pay of Asian Syndicates nor a manager who elected to play a future England centre half at full back.

I agree.

I don't go for all these permutations. We get a bit of fkin bad luck ala fkin Ched Evans style and all this "we only need to" bollox goes out the window

Let's just get 3 points at Brizzle

I'm pretty sure Wilder has been stated as telling the players sumat similar with regards to the next game

nobody ever believes theyll go down , till it happens

bent cheating twat. tell me more how the triads have got it in for us
are they unhappy with the new chinese quarter

who knows , maybe thats why we are doing so well,, ahh so

THe worse possibility would be to lose Moore ,but I think we have the players strong enough to defend that anyway ,no matter whos in goal.

Who are you arguing with ?

Imagine we lose to Scunthorpe and Bolton and then Billy gets injured and is out for the season and we end up in the play offs.

These fantasy scenarios can play out just as bad as they can be good.

Let's just concentrate on beating Bristol Rovers and forget about the bigger picture.

I'd quite fancy us in the Play Offs this year, especially if we drew Walsall in the semis

To quote CW in this morning's rag:

But, speaking ahead of tomorrow’s visit to the South-west, Wilder said: “The next match is the only one that matters."

That'll do for me Chris

It's unlikely to be that early. Wolves got the record points total for this division (103) and still weren't promoted until 12/4/14.
