Won their last 5 home games.

It's about time that sequence came to an end

I've seen Rovers a few times this year as they are my local team. They aren't bad. Without Matty Taylor they aren't the same tho, he made a huge difference.
They have good players tho like Bodin, Chris Lines, Ellis Harrison and could cause us problems, especially down their right, our left.

They are solid defensively at home, so it will prob be a close game. They aren't as good on the ball as blades tho from what ive seen. They like to play it long quite a bit or go through Bodin and Leadbitter. Really we have enough to win, but depends on which Rovers turns up on the day. I don't know much about their new striker James who has replaced Taylor, early days really.

However it's coming to a time in the season where teams like BR are going to have to start gambling to get in the play-offs

They caused us some problems at the Lane. They missed at least one sitter before we scored a late goal and almost got a very late equaliser. As you say, quite direct and physical but with a bit of ability.

It looks like Bradford were better than them yesterday, and without Taylor they're not the threat they were. We could be catching them at just the right time now their winning run at home has ended.

Thanks to yesterday's result though there's not much pressure on this game for us.

I'm not sure they will out football us, so going long might be their best option. Their left back Brown likes to bomb down the left sometimes, but Freeman is gonna be bombing down their right also, could be a good battle.

Two shots on target. That means even if George plays we only have to score three.

Bristol one of the better teams I've seen at lane this season, it'll be a tough game. That Boateng was a rock in midfield. Am I right he doesn't play for them no more. He was on loan from Palace?

Yep, think Boateng's at Northampton now. Will be a tough game for sure, their home record is one of the best in the league. Our next away game after that is Rochdale I believe, so equally tricky. Throw in the home games vs Scunny and Bolton and it's a huge run of games we have coming up.

Utd to win again. Be confident. We are the best team in the division, let them worry about us. If they had our side and they were coming to the Lane top of the table and going for promotion, I would be expecting a tough old night. I see no reason why Utd can't win by a couple on Tuesday night.

Their loss of a striker and our reintroduction of a proper defender make me tend to agree. Go at it Blades.

Bristol are a rugby team. I think you mean Bristol Rovers. :o)

Yep, Boateng doesn't play anymore.

Someone on their forum just made the same point, "they're Sheffield United not Sheffield".

I think those of us who support a club from a two-team city know the score :)

I think most of us do yep. Though Lots of folks on here liked to call Bristol City 'Bristol' two years ago which irked me, esp as the same folks didn't want us to be called 'Sheffield'.

I think also its cause I hate Bristol City which annoyed me more :o)

Personally, I think this game is more important than the two home games that follow. Bear with me ...

You see, for me, this one sets up the two home games. If we can get a win at the Gas tomorrow, that begins to crank up the pressure on Scunthorpe and Bolton who, as we have seen of late, seem unable to both pick up wins on the same day. Given that one or both may falter again at home, a United win would really crank up the pressure. If we can get Bolton and Scunthorpe coming to the Lane with pressure on them not just to avoid defeat but to win, that's playing into our hands. We only need to beat one of them as it is - Bolton - but if both come needing a win, they cannot park the bus. They have to come out and play and I think that makes them easier to beat. Win Tuesday and I am confident we will pick up at least four points against Bolton and Scunthorpe because they will both have to come and take the game to us - which I think suits us. If we pick up seven points from these three games, I think we're well on our way to promotion, the title will be in our grasp as well. This is the biggest game of the season for me.
