A familiar sight - dad worked at Holmes & Younie just down the road :)

We moved on to the Norfolk Park 1967 (we had to move into a flat my dad had a bad accident at work he needed to be on one level as it left him in a wheelchair) left in 1970 we got a nice council bungalow on the Painted Fabrics estate at Meadowhead.
When i was on the Norfolk Park I played for a junior side and we won a five a side competition and the final was at the Lane (we played across the pitch) the trophy was the John Harris Trophy presented by the great man himself.
I moved to Norfolk park from Attercliffe when i was a chabby , lived there up until late 70's until moved over to Skyedge for a few years until a few things brought me to Ireland , moved around a bit , bethnal green in the big smoke , S19 but had to move back to Dublin .
Used to come over to Sheffield until late 80' s , then work , going steady ans kids settled me down .
Been going back a few years now , and back in contact with sound mates from when I was at school , hopefully be over in March for wall at home .
All the best Beeffy

Away at Norwich, crammed on the terrace in the corner, Thompson own goal. Was it Dale Gordon for them playing well?
As defeats go, second only to Hull at Wembley.

I was at the Norwich one, I'm sure you are right about Dale Gordon. I also rated Malcolm Allen for them. I think Graham Benstead was in goal for us?

Who remembers Home Ec on the top floor kitchen? My 2nd year form room was the top floor nearest corner.
That's the staff room with the bay window ,my 1 st year class is just off picture to the left , 2nd year form room is top left. I actually loved the place.

Spent many lunchtimes playing football & tennis just here. They obviously poshed it up with palm trees when Norton College took it on.
Is that upper school ,with all the science labs ? If so there is a big tree just about where that picture is taken from ,half way up it you will find my and my mates (a couple on here) initials carved into the tree.

My School 'Anthem' went something like this:
Ludus est nobis
Bonus o sodales
Quem decet semper
Colere atque amare
Hunc labos noster
Studiumque nostrum
Semper honestent....

And I've still no idea what it means!!!
I've taken the lazy route, used Google and got this:
The game is us
Good, members
You should always
Worship and love
This is our labor
our pursuit
always....

Still doesn't make sense!!!!:(
