My Mum and Dad, myself and my 2 lads all born in the same room we think. I like to say in sight of the floodlights at the Lane but if truth be told it was on the Broad lane side.

Likewise mum and dad were born there, a stones throw from where they were to be brought up in Netherthorpe.
I was born at home (Gleadless Town End) but sadly a few hundred yards from a view of the Lane.

Never has a ref more single mindedly been anti-Blade. After his pathetic performances in the Dingles FAC ties, he went on to book poor old Vinnie at Maine Road for a perfectly fair, two footed lunge on Monkey-heed.
