Happy birthday Deano probably my fave player for the blades over the years.
Met him at sufc xmas dinner 2015 top bloke as well.
His rise from not getting in the Donny team in 4th division to playing at the highest level within 3 years was unreal really and gave us lots of great memories.
I still argue with a piggy mate he was better than fat boy Hirsty

Tell your mate to fuck off, he was far superior to that twat Hirst.

Happy Birthday big fella.

My earliest memory of the club is Brian Deane in that thin-striped red, white and black shirt with the yellow Laver logo on it. In fact it's one of my earliest memories full stop. Glad I was able to see him in the flesh on his second spell with us.

Happy Birthday Sir.

My all time Blades hero. All I have to do is think of chanting 'Deanoooooo' and it transports me back in time to the late 80's and early 90s as a kid.

Feels like yesterday doesn't it?

Share mine with Khloe Kardashian but the stuck up cow never sends me any cake.

Billy Sharp has the same birthday as Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Carlos Tevez and Jordan Rhodes.

Best 5-a-side team ever.

Jordan Rhodes the poor bstard. He only signed for the truffle snufflers last week and already the £10m superpig has aged another year with the weight of massive expectation from the massive's of pork massive mansion.

This time next year, he will probably be a very old fella sat in his comfy chair in an old folk's home dribbling his food down his face.

Of course Deano was a far superior player than Thirsty. Not even a debate that one. Hirst was pretty good to be fair, but Utd sold Deano and got themselves relegated. He was the catalyst of a premier league team and if he had stayed we would have comfortably stayed up. Hirst wasn't anywhere as important to his team as Deano was to us. Thats because Deano was a far better all round player. Could Thirsty take the ball on the wing and be the best winger on the pitch? No he couldn't. Deane was a far better and a ridiculously underrated player, probably cos he played for us.

It's like saying who is the best bird, that actress who was in Broadchurch and looked a bit like a chipmunk (Hirst) or Charlize Theron (Deane). Yes you would probably have a drunken fumble at the back of Roxys with the chipmunk and be grateful for its services, but the one to really have on your arm would be Charlize.

Never quite be able to look at Deano or indeed Charlize in the same way again. Thanks

Irrespective of whether Deane or Hirst was better*, it'll be a long, long time before United and Wednesday players appear in the same England team again**.

*Answer = Deane.
**Not on the pitch at the same time, but they both played in the same game against New Zealand in 1991.

Charlize with red stocking's and suspenders on giving you the come to bed eyes....or Deano in white socks, white shorts and a red n white Blades shirt scoring against Man Utd or the Pigs....?

Both very very sexy indeed.

Sir Brian of Deane.

Legend and a great bloke. I hear Hirsty was alright but loved the grog a bit too much and it catches up with you a bit when you are trying to play top flight footy. I'm glad we had Deano.

I always think about what might have been for Deano when Man U paid a million quid for Dion Dublin. Two million could possibly have got Deano and he was five times the player at that time. I know some L**ds fans who love Deano and they played him on the wing most of the time. Imagine if they'd played him up front!?

Our family Ginger tom's (cats not ladies of the night) were named after our centre forward of the time. Started with Dearden, then Edwards and finally Deano. Great shouting Deano when you wanted him to come in from hunting for his tea, not so great when the human Deano signed for Leeds...

Met the human one at Manchester airport in 1990. He and his family were flying to the states for a holiday, all were wearing United Umbro track suits of one description or another. Surreal as his brothers were a bit fatter than him, but all looked like him and all had the Deano flat top. Looked like Russian dolls!

Top bloke and gave me the time of day.
