We'll be up there but I'm not sure we're the highest wage payer in L1, you've got the clubs coming down such as Charlton/Bolton/MK Dongs who'll pay a fair whack.

I'd imagine/like to think that with the new wage structure, we're around the £4-5 million mark, similar to Peterborough ( who supposedly paid that Tafazolli feller £10k a week when we were rumoured to be interested)

Remember, that wage bill won't come down on its own ;)

No way Peterborough are even close to our wage bill Esa and no way they pay £10k a week to Tafazolli.

Trying to survive in the Championship on the cheap is how we ended up here.

Although now we have the prince on board apparently he will be "game changing" in the Championship.

No, employing idiots to run the football club (hello Bryan and Kevin), allowing them to spend vast sums of money on not-good-enough players (too many to mention - but particular shout outs to Dire-us Henderson and Lee Hendrie) then panicking when it all started going wrong is why we ended up here.

One thing that's never been in doubt is that we have overpaid relative to performance every season for the last 10.

Agreed. But with by far the biggest attendances in the division and no clubs with parachute payments this time it surely stands to reason that we should be able to pay more in wages than our rivals? I wouldn’t imagine we’re talking stupid amounts more. Let’s not forget we missed out on Tafazolli because we wouldn’t match his wage demands when Peterborough would.

All true. With regard to Tafathingy, I imagine his wage demands were more than Wilder thought he was worth. Surely our highest earners aren't looking with envy towards the Posh?

Clarkes been injured , and whos to say who instigated mcnulty coming back
might have been part of hanson deal , take back this twat

Yes "injured" I am sure.

Wilder has said on more than one occasion that Clarkes attitude has been spot on. Is he lying?

Well he is hardly going to come out and say it is shite.

We went from one extreme to the other just as more parachute money was starting float around the Championship.

It's not impossible but it's very unlikely and the players won't be relaxed if people start expecting them to win promotion again.

The kind of football we're playing isn't way above L1 or we'd be ten points clear of second place. We're no better than any of the other clubs that have won automatic promotion since we've been down here.

I'm talking about style i's there BushBlade but we do lack a bit of quality it places.
We gave both Bolton and Scunthorpe
a good few points start we are now top,if we had started like them we would be well clear at this time.

Not bizarre. I am a believer of getting rid of bad attitude types who don't work hard for the team

I am still against that sale but I understand your view. I was commenting on the idea I have seen put forward (not by you) that Adams was not good enough for the first XI or was not a regular. Both statements are untrue.

Adams was a first team regular ,,, under Adkins
we didnt fare well did we
I think its fair to say CW was not planning playing him as a regular
he thought we could do better

he was of course correct

He must be a prince among men. What is it, 17 clubs in 13 years?

Shame he doesn't score and is injured a lot and we have him for 2 more seasons.

A hard signing to defend at the moment. Still, Wilder's done excellent business on the whole.

I am saying Clarke has a history of spitting his dummy out when he isn't the main man.

That said he is sat on a 3 year deal nearing the end of his career, so he may not care too much.
Still getting over this Id wager
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...ter-being-stretchered-off-during-wigan-defeat
it keeps flaring up when he gets hammered No player can build up to match speed with 6 or 12 minute runs out
hes yet to play a total of 7 games in minutes according to playerstats
If he gets fully fit his stats better 85 per cent of attackers in this , and the championship he played in

You said he had a bad attitude. Wilder says he hasn't. The opposite in fact. Is Wilder being honest?

or maybe not
if theres a will to oust certain players , it can be achieved
no one likes sweeping the kop steps every week
or sitting on the under 23 bench

when Blackwell was tasked with cutting the wage bill he got shot of a pile on contracts
therers more ways than just paying them off at a savvy managers disposal

Adkins wasnt street wise enough to do it

For a handful of players yes, for a squad of players, no.

Clarke hasn't been a success up to now. Wilder and the club say its injuries and CW says his attitude has been excellent. Is this the no nonsense take it or leave it Wilder or the puppet who misleads the fans, particularly those who appear to have an agenda about Clarke?

I don't know and don't care. Clarke was a poor signing irrespective of his attitude. A 3 year deal was daft.

My agenda where Clarke is concerned is I prefer we play people who help us win games. Clarke has yet to do this.

I can see why some fans want Clarke out , playing for the pigs for several seasons being enough to make him an easy scapegoat
but its not going to happen
cw knows Clarkes scored goals in the championship , lots of them
to him its a start, hes not bothered if he doesnt get fit till August

bet anyone he stays, and plays

we didnt need to get rid of 40
10 was enough , and thats do able , anywhere
in the same way players can manuafacture a departure clubs have their ways too

Not when said player is earning much more than he can get elsewhere (because he's been crap for us). The best you can do then is loan them out whilst still footing a percentage of the bill. Last season we loaned out or moved on

  1. Higdon
  2. J. Wallace
  3. Scougall
  4. Harris
  5. Alcock
  6. McNulty
  7. DCL
  8. Kennedy
  9. K. Wallace
  10. Collins
  11. Khan
  12. Brooks
  13. Evans
  14. Hamilton
  15. Banton
  16. Willis
  17. McFadzean
  18. JCR
  19. Murphy
  20. Dimaio
That's 20 players and it still wasn't nearly enough.

I'd have thought we'd all care if we'd signed a player with a bad attitude. We usually do.

The three year deal - while not the best deal. I can admit - was struck on lower wages.

a lot of those are academy , wont be on big wages dimao brooks banton khan willis , cant see them on 500 a week never mind 5000

That's what's wrong with him for some, the Pig connection.

If we'd have beaten Fleetwood and Gillingham we would be clear but we didn't.

We're a good side for L1 and I've said many times that I don't think there is a big difference between the top of L1 and the bottom of the championship, we should stay up, but there's a big difference between the top of L1 and the top of the Championship.
