Hope that's not a bit hasty as you can't mess around with knee ligament injuries !

Good news, look forward to seeing him on the pitch.
Sounds like Clarke has been injured, off and on, all season...

Tufty is sensible. He will put Samir and Jayo on the bench so that our three high quality footballers, who together form the best midfield in the league, realise there are two more ready and able to step in.

Hopefully they'll respond by returning to former standards. I believe they will.

11 day break, FOUR new signings to come in, winnable game at home, main promotion rivals just sold their best player on deadline day...a lot of reasons to be positive. Let's get back on track.
bolton got a tough game at mk we could be 10 points clear of em at 5 o clock saturday so lets get behind the team from the off and that means the vast part of the geriatric south stand

"But Wilder used his pre-match press conference to confirm that Leon Clarke is set to miss Saturday’s game after receiving a steroid injection in an ankle"

Which clumsy bleeder on the medical staff doesn't know how to use a twattin' needle properly?
After a steroid injection a period of rest is necessary so as the healing process takes place,he hopefully will be back in training sometime next week if it is a success.

Don't say that in G and H block

Clarke not injured, it's a cover, he's just wank.

On a brighter note, Chapman returns, hope he gets a run this time, opposite Duffy with Hanson......... winner winner chicken dinner!

Spoilt for choice Chris.

I can see Hanson starting with Sharp.

Midfield 3 and Defensive 3 there could be a change or two in those dept's.

Was wondering this ever since we signed Hanson. Is it better to start with Hanson, to do all the physical stuff, and then bring on a faster player like Lavery or Chapman, when the opposition defence has been battered, or is it better to start the fast player, tire them out, and then bring on Hanson for the last 20-30 minutes when their defence are tired, for him to shove and knock about.

I guess both work, but think the latter is the better option. We seem (to me) to finish games off by having loads of corners and/or continually firing balls into the box, and a 6ft 4" striker who is good at heading the ball would seem best suited for that scenario (to me).

start with the fast ones and get a couple goal lead then your big lad can do defensive duties too to hold on to the lead. That would be my choice especialy as we just seem shit with a big lad this season

That has always been my preferred option. A big striker running into the box as a corner comes in, causing panic, knocking people out of the way to create a space and a path to goal for Billy Sharp or Kieron Freeman.
