Luton might have got wind that there are other clubs sniffin arounf their prized soon to be out of contract midfielder and are playing the 'see if another fish bites with a bigger offer before the deadline hour' card. Added to that he would probably want a bigger signing on fee and wages as a 'out of contract' player in the summer.

Unless its young toff born with a silver spoon in his gob and doesnt know the value of money, there are very few cases of people who are daft with their money. There tends to be a reason why good money is prepared to be spent.
