Forest asking to speak to Nigel, would he take his favourite son with him. Could possibly recoup some money

Have they got a transfer embargo? I think they did at one time but no idea now. It wouldn't be unbelievable though, if they can sign players. Clough does seem to like him.

BBC write up says that Forest fans views of him dimmed after he managed traditional rivals Derby and us!! Can understand Derby, but since when have we been traditional rivals to the scabs?

Heyup NZ Blade! You really live in Nelson (Lancashire)? Eeh lad! Rum place that. The local accent used to crack me up when I lived near there. Urdu I think it was called?

If they hurry up and appoint him he'll probably sign him in this transfer window.

Whether he's good enough for Forest or not.

The NZ sort of gives it away :-) I am in Nelson, New Zealand...........a little different, but still an odd accent.

If they want to hire a manager who can really use his history at the club to propel them to success they should hire Stuart Pea-

Oh.

Despite the fact that he's a financial disaster and puts some seriously shit players on hefty contracts, I don't think Nigel Clough is completely rubbish. He does bring youth through and in patches his sides play pretty good football.

To me his biggest limitation was revealed before the Swindon match in the playoffs. I think an interviewer asked him if he wanted to win or to really try to put the tie to bed, and he said that he just didn't want to lose.

Nigel Adkins might have seemed to settle for mediocrity but when he was doing his 'it's not that bad' routine, it was clear he was just remembering the lines he'd highlighted in his latest 'business management and motivation' book (despite never realising that, whilst he sat highlighting at the dead of night, the writer of said book was being fellated somewhere in the Bahamas whilst texting his assistant to say he'd 'just wing' his next talk in the hotel conference room.)

Clough's is much more ingrained. I don't think he'll ever take a club backwards. He just takes them nowhere for a lot of cash.

Chris Wilder appears to be the total opposite.

Wouldn't be able to sign until next season, as was discussed at length regarding McNulty, he's already played for 2 clubs this season, so can't play for a third.

That's my understanding of the rules.

well i think clough will go to forest and he will want to buy him off us in the summer 1 million at least is what we need to be asking for

If that hideous two club rule will stop Brayford leaving for now then the more immediate concern might be keeping hold of Coutts.

I think FLN would want him especially after his form this season and I wouldn't expect Coutts to stay loyal to us if he had an offer.

Suppose we could see if he'd take Scougall off us. He seemed to like him.

Went off after 5 minutes today
