McCabe and back your mouth up, what was it challanging for Europe in 5 seasons!!!!!!
Where is the substantial backing with the capital "s"

WE NEED A MIDFIELD
WE NEED A CB
WE NEED A FULL BACK
WE NEED A KEEPER
WE NEED A PARTNER FOR BT

And we need to ship players out that are not getting a chance (Luton Carney etc) and who are past the sell by date (Lucky Keef etc)

Another mid table finish

I don't think its panic stations time yet.

The close-season is still early and no substantial transfers have taken place yet... the majority of players being on holiday at the moment.

Transfers usually occur when the players are back in training, which isn't for another couple of weeks.

Tell 'em to have a cup of tea and calm the buggery down!

mmmmmmmmm............ seems there is a lot of bad feeling about McCabe.

TBH i think we've got two good keepers, as for a partner for beattie, sharp was doing quite well, but stead webber and a fully fit hulse deserve a go, i know it wasn't posted on here but is it just me that disagrees with these two "needs"?

So far, from what i've seen personally, it's been a matter of empty vessels make the most noise. That and the new breed of fans who have only been around 2 years.

My concern is that the Blades lack pace and if the squad isn't strengthened a mid table finish next season looms....

The Championship will not be as poor a league next season.

I agree about needing pace but not about the mid-table finish "looming". As for the quality of the Championship - why won't it be as poor next season?

Is it not the law that people say exactly that at the start of every season?? I've heard it every year for donkeys years. I'm beginning to wonder why the Championship isn't some sort of european super league these days :D

The other law of sayings is that people around you must all say "pitch looks well!" at all times for the first month or so of the season.

Oh well perhaps its just me, time will tell but i've watched football long enough to know last season the Championship was very weak.

If the Blades don't strengthen the squad i'll stand by my prediction of a mid table finish...... where do you think ?

as for pace in the team

i recall in the promotion season we had keef/ifil on the right and armstrong/tonge on left

Wouldnt really class them as pacey players.

and as for stregthening i think we do need a center midfielder and center back but otherwise i think we should be looking at keeping players such as beatts, paddy , killa etc

Well I've been watching the Blades a long time too but I always look forward to the new season with optimism and hope.

Perhaps it's just me?

:D:D:D

Even though three of the last four in the FA Cup were from the Championship?

It's actually illegal, under European Directive 5524582/gdtggb/54821154/Footballcliches/MaastrichtAgreement/14522554/jfhf/251(A) for a football crowd to have less than 200 season ticket holders mention the state of the pitch per game. Special lipreaders are employed by the EU to watch Goals On Sunday for members of the crowd talking about how nice and green it looks.

Similarly, each club must, under Directive 75f/MiserableFans - Ambition Ruling 3G, have at least one fan who is never ever happy with his club, no matter what they do, or don't do. Guess which one is ours?:D

Take off rose tinted glasses :D

Here's a prediction for yer

Some serious investment in the Blades Team is not far away, once McCabes got the paperwork sorted.

What's your next shock prediction going to be?

It will either snow or go dark before tomorrow?
Poo sandwiches don't taste very nice?

It's not exactly Mystic Meg, is it?

You can't be that thick, can yer ?

Lets hear what YOUthink is in store for the Blades ?

This will be interesting.......

Can't be that thick why?

It's hardly a massive prediction is it?

"I predict McCabe will do what he's said he's going to do."

Anyway, not arguing with you any more, Space Pirates is coming on.

The bain of the summer hiatus, nothing happening so idle hands start playing with the keyboard. If you wait long enough even a monkey will type something sensible. Loks like it's going to be a long summer!

What are you saying about me!?

Just a random thought of mine about transfers and why we haven't givn out any infromation on player interest and who we are scouting.

If McCabe has a big investor sat waiting in the wings for when he has full control and United are back in private hands, then why would united commit to buying a player that they can get for say £2million pounds when the new investor could come in and say here's 100million (I know a bit optamistic, but hey) go and buy a team to win the division? Cos the £2million pound man we had just committed to buying would just end up an unused and expensive bench warmer.
That's could be why we have not bought Cotterill already (a well as the transfer window not opening tillJuly 1st).

There could be more truth in that than most of us think.;)

Whatever i think of McCabe he's a Blade, he likes investing on property and likes making money, with his hands full with Chinese investments and the rest lacking the hunger to take SUFC to the 'next level' i'm sure the investors he chooses will be reight for the club.
