The bubble has not burst . Let's go on performances and chances created , chances stopped .

Tonight is disappointing , playing at home is going to create major problems .

Perhaps fans will not get too carried away when we win or when we lose. Still in a great position but changes are required . Wilder now has to earn his money.

Worried - No .

Are we affective enough - No . Teams have done there homework and sussed us out from kick off .

Time for change - Yes .

Think I'm gonna give this place a miss for a few days....the nutters will be out spreading doom, despair and melancholy!

Message to all depressed souls kicking their dog, shouting at the wife and kids and punching hollow doors....get a grip. It's a dip in form, we will sort it.

See you all Friday.

As forum meltdowns go this was a fast one.

Three poor performances, players need to roll their sleeves up and get back to what they were doing. Simple as that. They have the ability, they proved that over a lot of games, just need to go out and do it. They have become over confident and are waiting for things to happen instead of making it happen like they did before.

Wilder will sort it. We've lost our way, we can get it back. Plenty of games left.

Simple fact is we should be beating these teams. play-offs at best if we don't find the formula we've had, we are good enough to take this league easily, we really miss Wright at the back and for some reason Wilder seems to have been reading the ADKINS GUIDE TO SUBSTITUTIONS?????
Hope the new lads bring the fight back!

We were woeful tonight. Slow, uncommitted, unadventurous, lightweight, badly organised.
Too many players off theit game.
What possessed Wilder to pick McNulty I will never know. I only hope tonight was the last time he gets anywhere near the pitch or bench
Coutts and Duffy were ponderous. EEL a disaster until he went up top.

Teams have us well sussed and with no attacking pace or Plan B we are going to struggle.
Time to earn your corn Wilder.

Not at panic stations yet but would highly recommend a night out and a few days away to take the edge off for the players. Last season came flooding back to me and we need to find the spark.

What really worries me is that this year is going to be really tight, and three teams could get 90+ pts.

I'm shitting myself because I fear another 2011/12. We simply can't afford to drop anything this season and frankly we've pissed away three games. Think we should also be concerned at just how fast this team has collapsed in terms of performances. Fatigue creeping in? Plenty of high-tempo stuff before Christmas and our squad really isn't big.

All teams have blips. We are still in a v strong position to get a playoff place, something we would all have taken at the start of the season; with it being Wilder's first season. The disappointment is magnified due to our impressive run of late. The second half of the season was always going to be harder. Teams get fitter and at least ten teams get much better after playing with each other for 20 + games. Also managers come up,with a plan against us. Wilder needs to start working out how to draw teams, defenders particularly, out of position. That is where, I think, the lad from Bradford could play a part. When teams defend deep and in line, instead of crossing, they should look to pull the ball back,,to on running midfielders. Perhaps controversially, I would drop, EEL.

I will say though, the players should take a long hard look at themselves after losing to Fleetwood, a team made up of players, on wages, a fraction of theirs.

No panic , but back to basics , regroup , 10 days break dies not wash or do us any favours .

If players think they just need to turn up to win , the mentality is not right . Wilder now needs the soft touch because the public bollocking has not worked in our favour , also further changes may be on the cards .

We will still win the league , but both management , players and especially fans have to keep there nerve .

Easier said than done after 10 years of let down , and wouldn't be surprised to see further movement in the JTW both in and outs .

This is what being a football fan is all about . Can be great , can be shite

It's conventional wisdom that teams should go into a break with a win under their belts but personally I am fucking relieved that we aren't playing on Saturday. Let's see where we stand after everyone else has played, but you have to expect Scunny and Bolton to be buoyant going into the weekend.

As for our lot, time for a shake up. As said above maybe a good piss up will help perhaps followed by a good old row and group hugs. Just get this slump out of everyone's system and then get to work on the training ground. We are better than this and just need to look at the table.

Thankfully we now have some new blood and can freshen things up for Wimbledon. Hanson, Wright, Riley & Carruthers in please.

Make no mistake this was as bad a result as under some of those under the Clough & Adkins eras.

The players (and maybe Manager) have or had started to believe the hype.

This result will give confidence to those around us and heep even more pressure on the players.

Bad times indeed.

I'm departing this board until the final whistle of our next game. Reading through the threads on here reminds me how much fellow blades fuck me off at times. Fickle bastards. Things are good when we are on top but as soon as a blip comes along they can't wait to slate us.

Yea. Fickle as fuck after 6 years off utter fucking wank.
The muppets you should have a kite on about are the fucking plantpots posting we are as good as up.

A great point.

But, with the squad we have, and little training time for huge changes, how do we change?

What do we go for moving forwards?

Answers on a postcard, please.

Postcard to TJB.

We have no game for 10 days, a couple of days R & R and back on the training ground. We have the squad in place for the rest of the season. Plan A doesn't need many tweaks - 3-5-2 with Wright (who will bring EEL back to his best) in for Basham, Carruthers and O'Shea as options across midfield and Riley as an option left and right. Lavery to continue with Sharp as they were (IMHO and before tonight) beginning to work well together.

Plan B probably centres around Hanson and gives another option - plenty of time to work and adapt to this.

Every promotion season I've seen has had a blip, the players are still good players so no need for wholesale changes. As a result of the JTW, the squad is stronger and offers more options so no need to panic. Hopefully Mr Wilder knows the back 3 is the first issue to address.

Finally, we have points on the board and that is a better place to be than games in hand.

Back to basics with a proven team, pattern, shape and style.

QED:)

Maybe coinsiding with McNultys return a few of em have fell off the wagon.

At any one time, the team at the top isn't necessarily the best team; tonight was current best v current worst and went to form............

So using your logic.

Wednesday are currently the worse team in the Championship who can't even convert a penalty.
And have the worse disciplinary record in the English league.

That last paragraph is bang on. I've always wondered that even though we've played some very attractive football at times this season, we may be mistaking nice football for good football. Ie that the shite for the last couple of years has clouded our judgement somewhat.

Odd selection from CW but for so many players to be unable to pick up there game throught the 90 minutes is the bigger worry for me.

No leader on the pitch tonight either.

Tonight was summed up for me after yet another shit corner at the Lane end by Coutts failed to beat the first man. All he did was berate his teamates for not getting on it. The summation of our team performance tonight bar Billy and Lavery was BORINGLY PEDESTRIAN.

I don't think it's a simple dip in form, I think it's more than that. We've got to find some solutions, and I'm confident Wilder will sort it. I just hope we don't have to settle for less than what we produced during our better periods this season.

One problem is that our competitors also have several games left.
