I think we will get up, but, who will help us if we don't get up this season?

The complete cluster fuck of the two Nigel's laid bare

And Accounts Bingo is up and running !!!!!

A line or four corners gets you a half season ticket with a restricted view.

A full house and you get to see a video of the Murphy money being handed over to the Desso man in a brown paper bag.

Bollocks, I wanted the plastic handled knife & fork set or the bendy Kermit the Frog

Only scanned them on my phone but here's a cat for the pigeons. Tangible assets designated as Freehold last year are now classified as leasehold.

Is rent gooin' up?

You can read for yourself in more detail here:

https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/00061564/filing-history

You'll find wages, match day income, turnover, tax paid, players sold/bought and a whole host of other goodies...

I notice these accounts are in a lot more detail than the previous years.
For instance, giving totals for incoming and outgoing transfers rather than just a net total.
If it's a change of policy and new spirit of glasnost, I approve.

This confirms that most of the wage bill damage was done pre Adkins, but he only added to it.

How much has he squirrelled out of the club under the catch all "Admin".....

Anyone notice in the accounts, that the Directors had put in £4m each with no future repayment?
I think that is what they have agreed to put in this season. Last year is was £9 million in total through share issue. Or roughly £10 per plastic blade of grass.

Based just on the information in that article, the biggest shock here is not the total amount of loss, but the fact that it has doubled over the previous year. The biggest reason for the increased loss, (again, according to this article, not the actual accounts) was a £1.8M increase in costs "due to one-off items relating to the termination of management contracts totalling £700,000 and increased investment in first team wages of £6.8m, up from £5.5m".

Thank you Mr Adkins!

The silver lining here is that we've moved on since then. We've got a manager who knows what he's doing and that doesn't include recruiting his old mates and paying them a fortune on long contracts to see out their careers and build themselves a nice little retirement nest egg.

What a toss pot that Adkins is. He would have buggered this club up beyond repair if he'd continued any longer.

When I wrote an article on here last season about Adkin's being "probably the worst manager of all time" and calling for us to get rid of the clown now, before he causes permanent damage to the club, I remember at least one person, near the end of last season, replying to say, "I want the clown to continue". I don't know who that person was - but thank God he wasn't a Director of Sheffield United - that's all I can say!

Who appointed him?

Who had to sack him and pay him off in the end?

Blame Adkins all you want. He was shit. But someone licensed his coming to BDTBL.

It's in shares not loans

Our owners are paying the price of appointing a string of failed managers hopefully they have got it right this time. All credit to them for sticking with it and not shrinking the club on the back of these mistakes
( closing down the academy), We finally have a manager who puts the club first, took a long time to find him
but I'm sure our owners will hope to keep him and give him the support he needs to keep us moving up.
He treats the club's money as his own, the owners will be well pleased with that.

Thing is, that is exactly what has happened. We have sold players (proven positive effect on pitch in results and league position) to sustain a contextually positive financial position yet kept the academy (what effect has this had in young players developed to turn it on for us?)

There's no disagreeing Wilder is the catalyst in our success. More by luck than design though. Long may he stay.

That'll all depend on how much is invested into playing staff next year mind.

Absolutely and they have to take that responsibility, but how many were against his appointment at the time? Many would have done it?

Similarly, John Brayford.
