Hang on Kenny....... We have just had months of wishing to keep EEL because he is the centre half we have been missing for years. Now we drop him to the bench when we finally confirm he is here for the season !!
Not sure that will happen. More likely there will be no change to the back three.

Gillingham aren't a particularly big side so we should be able to cope without EEL's presence, and Basham offers more from RCB at home. EEL's been the worst of our defenders recently and couldn't complain with being dropped after Walsall. I'd like Wright back in there to steady the back 3.

sorry larky but although i rate the eel chris basham has been playing well at the back and would be unlucky if dropped bash gets loads of stick but hes the type of player every squad needs

If every player is fit and healthy does Basham play? Is he one of our best central defenders? Is he one of the best central midfielders?

My opinion is no....... but i have to agree that having a genuine utility player in the squad is a massive plus.

I think you could pick any combination of Basham, EEL, O'Connell and Wright and not see too much of a difference in the performance of the defense. We are all forgetting Wilson, who in fairness to the lad has never let the side down.

Give those who started at Walsall a chance to put it right first.

yes i think your right woody mourinho is gonna want riley to get plenty of game time but hes a good addition to the squad another player who can play in more than one position and we are gonna get injuries in these next 3 months now all we need is that striker ?

I suppose it's about what he does 'off the ball' as much as 'on the ball'. Wilder's started to talk about 'off the ball' more these past few games.

I completely agree with that.
I just think talk of him playing in a 3 man defence is pushing it.
