He's a Digitial (sic) Reporter.
It's such a complete and utter non-story. There may be a legitimate comparison between two football songs (didn't GCB win some award as the best football chant, I doubt the plagiarisation of Jeff Beck's magnum opus will ever do that. However, there is no common ground between those popular chants and songs which are genuinely about Sheffield, which most of the others on the list aren't, in any case, just mentions in passing (Arctic Monkeys, The Clash)) and even an album title (Tony Christie). At least Richard Hawley's inclusion of Sheffield places stands closer scrutiny and despite his football allegiance, I've always liked his inclusion of local places in his songs, he'd win hands down for me.
Joe Cocker could have had a mention, one of his albums was called Sheffield Steel, it wasn't about Sheffield, but why would that stop it being included in a digitial (sic) poll such as this one?
