Pigs chairman tells the manager they won't be selling 'any players this season'.
Forestieri even refuses to play a game amid interest from Newcastle etc, Pigs still don't budge.
Forestieri just signed a new contract to 2020.
Mind blowing stuff eh, this 'saying no' lark rather than trotting out the usual 'because he wants to go, what else can we do' guff at the Q n As.
Hope things'll be different in future, especially now we've got a manager who's the dogs bollocks

So what you are saying then it's let's show ambition and risk going bankrupt.
It's does matter getting in to massive debt as it's no time mine or your money.
What you are saying is if a player has a strop then let's give in to his demands and five him what he wants
And also whilst we're at it, let's increase ticket prices by £10 to £15 a match acrsso the board.
If the board was to show big ambition then would the fans match that ambition? I suspect not!

At least Big Kev has made his wonga the honest way, not by using slave labour .
I thought he'd done a few projects in China so he may well have.At least Big Kev has made his wonga the honest way, not by using slave labour .

And the Prince is a Saud.
I don't think we should go there.

Can't be far off that the way wages are these days.Out of interest - do you know how much his new contract is for?
Perhaps his agent said "40K per week tuna boy, or my boy is off.............over to you"

Well I think a petition should be in order to charge them the same to be fair. I'd also like for us to only give them the lower tier. Carruthers can watch the game from the upper tier if he's injuredWednesday won't get anywhere backing down to every whim of their players. I suspect FF will be on £50,000 p/w.
Can't wait to see the ticket prices for next year!!!
That said, prepare yourself for them charging us £50 a pop when we go there.![]()

Ever cooked tinned tuna? It's very similar to pork if you do, which is apt.

Christ talk about making a straw man argument.
We've sold way too many players and not once stood our ground, McCabe makes out the club has no choice in this situation when they do.
Not exactly going all out to attack the man am I? There's people who claim mccabe has made money out of Utd which is absolutely ludicrous, doesn't mean I can't criticise the transfer policy over the years.
Hehehehe I love how the McCabe apologists are slating the Pigs for being weak and crumbling to a players demands. Short memories eh lads ? Didn't we do the same with McDonald when he wouldn't extend his contract? We still sold the money grabbing cunt a few days before the transfer window slammed shut meaning we had to make do with what was left. So the McCabe arse licking society have no need to bang the drum but neither do the Pigs.
BTW I'm afraid Calvert-Lewin's Everton first team substitute outings are way too soon. he should be out on loan in L2 or mid-table L1.
Further thought, the length of the contract can be meaningless if there is an agreed fee trigger clause written in there.
We were all delighted when Jags signed a new contract but we didn't know there was a agreed £4m transfer trigger clause.
Reckon Forrestieri will have insisted on one, maybe round the £20m region - never worth it!!, won't happen.
I already mentioned the trigger but I doubt the player would want it set at £20m. Limits his options. IMO anyway.
He's no Raheem Sterling is he.
Glance read the thread, excellent point you made then Sean!! Any trigger clause would be negotiated of course, can't imagine Wednesday agreeing less than £20m which is a reported value now for the likes of Premier clubs and maybe even Newcastle. Forestieri's previous contract was a four year one until 2019 so Wednesday had a strong bargaining hand for the extra year.
The whole financial dynamics change when a club is in the Top 6 of the Championship with a whif of the gravy train that is the Premier League.
Six years in League 1 seems a long way off that and things will be different when we get there. Wednesday can afford to push the boat out when there's a chance of a £70m income in the Prem if they go up. If they don't go up, how many years will they continue to speculate/ gamble/ write the cheques?
We are in a different phase but the prince did send us messages that his investments would increase once we are up in the Championship.
Note: Neither DCL or Adams were first team choices at the start of the season and only Adams would have been anywhere near by now, though I strongly suspect Adams isn't Wilder's sort of bloke.

I’m taking a long term view when it comes to Chansiri. There are few little things – writing his name in the stand, sitting himself front and centre on the team photo, gross ticket prices, waffling open letters to fans – that lead me to believe this may go a bit Cellino/Oyston/Vincent Tan given a bit of time. Until then, we’d do well to keep our powder dry.
I bet Tesco's are thinking of banning the sale of McCabes non line caught bricks and the Princes unsustainable bog roll paper as well.
Shakes fist.......
