Lesson for Kevin Mccabe

He's scored key goals for them even this season and is a class player. Sorry don't agree, this is a big coup for the pigs and a lesson in where playing hardball with wantaway players can get you.

As long as we consistently build a team I don't care, as it is, we've sold our best player for each of the last 6 years solid.

Still, hopeful for the future and I think more than a few of us are hoping that CW will go on to be THE legendary Blades manager of our lifetime.
6 goals in 21 games. A real coup for them ?

Guaranteed another pay rise when he goes now. Bit more security for the Pigs, probably a bigger bid fee so he can talk to other clubs when that's met.

So it's lijely that with associated costs they're paying around £6m pa for just three players.

Adams or DCL? Which one was our "best player" ?

The PL TV money will cover it if they go up.

Their multi millionaire chairman would appear to be less concerned about that than our multimillionaire chairman has been in similar situations.

He didn't let Red Nose Robbo spend in a similar fashion then? It comes to something when the Pigs being held to ransom by a mercenary is used as the latest excuse to knock McCabes past decisions. Especially since we're currently top of the league as well.

Give t'pigs 10 or 15 years and a relegation to L1 and see where Tuna-boy is eh?

It's in the accounts. READ THEM WHYDONTCHA!

pommpey
Got better things to do with mesen than look at their accounts. Even so, they never put individual wages in and they won't be available anyway for another 18 months or so :)

He did. Shame he gave the biggest budget we've ever had to Bryan Robson.

And I know we are top of the league. It's fabulous. Also nothing to do with this thread.

Pigs chairman tells the manager they won't be selling 'any players this season'.

Forestieri even refuses to play a game amid interest from Newcastle etc, Pigs still don't budge.

Forestieri just signed a new contract to 2020.

Mind blowing stuff eh, this 'saying no' lark rather than trotting out the usual 'because he wants to go, what else can we do' guff at the Q n As.

Hope things'll be different in future, especially now we've got a manager who's the dogs bollocks

UTB

How many bids have they turned down for him?

In fairness to Forestieri, if you had a great year at work and was the number one performer and your company brought someone else in who has proven nothing and paid them substantially more than you, you would be pissed off. Plus that might now mean Wednesday have less finance around to fund other transfers.

No you're right. This is purely about knocking McCabe, which is why you're all over it. Which you didn't comment on in your reply.

Unless of course you think Chansiri is spending wisely?

And who's to say that, in order to get him to sign, he hasn't been promised that he can speak to other clubs when they don't go up but they've not got him on a long contract to guarantee a decent fee??

Which is the obvious thought that would occur to most.

Wednesday won't get anywhere backing down to every whim of their players. I suspect FF will be on £50,000 p/w.

Can't wait to see the ticket prices for next year!!! :D:D:D

That said, prepare yourself for them charging us £50 a pop when we go there.

Yes, using money to keep your best players is spending wisely.

Unfortunately not all though Sean ;). I can understand the swine taking this as their chairman showing balls and their striker showing he wants to stay at the massive because he loves it but it's sad that some of our own appear to be as easily conned as they are.

There won't be many on the day purchases - they all bought three year tickets (which looks like its been spent this year)

Exactly. Chansiri must love him though. Is this the second or third pay rise he's held them to ransom over, I mean, had his talents wisely identified.
