Following yesterday's tremendous result, a couple of things occurred to me.

The first one should be fairly easy and I think I know the answer (without research)...

1. When was the last time we won a league game by 4-2?

The second may be more difficult and I don't have the answer!

2. When was the last time 2 of our centre halves scored in the same game? (I would have said 'both' but we have been playing with 3)

When was the last time 3 defenders scored in the same game?

I don't know why but I've got a game down against Burnley as a 4-2 scoreline but that was years ago so there must've been one since? (I'm not even sure if we've ever beaten Burnley that scoreline but it's in my head for some reason.)

22 Dec 1894 Burnley 2-4 Sheffield United will be the one you are thinking of ;) There was of course the same score on 12 Mar 2003 when were at home.:D

Dont know about the last time but I remember Flynn and Colquhoun scoring in the same match. v L**ds (3-0) in August 1971 and v Derby (3-0) in November 1973. All headers from Woodward corners

EDIT: Just remembered Powell (pen) and Colquhoun 2 in the 5-0 win against Villa in November 1969

also, when was the last time we went on a run of 55 points from 22 games (or equivalent in 2 points for a win)?

It was the 1894 fixture I was thinking of, I knew I wasn't dreaming it. :)

Cheers for the memory refresh. It's funny how I can remember vaguely the 2003 scoreline with Burnley but not one since it, for example the Preston game further up thread. Coincidence or not, the two teams mentioned being bitter rivals. :)

2-0 v Oldham 1986 - McNaught and Eckhardt scored.

Probably happened since though. Did Maguire and Collins do it?

Just had a look at the line up for the match to check if either Stancliffe or Thompson played in that match and sometimes Eckhardt played at right back. Stancliffe and Thompson didnt play in that match so you are right about both scorers being CB that day

it must be a While since We Won 4 away on the bounce too

Which We Will do under Wilder With a W at WalsalL
Was it With Wison

I know - I was there!

Which is the only football team in the English leagues (Prem to L2) in which the letters of the club name contain no 'loops' (e.g. 'Portsmouth' is not it because there are loops in the letters P and O, nor is it 'Bury' because there are 2 loops in B).
HULL CITY

Without looking ,who were our strikers at the end of the game against Huddersfield at Wembley.
