Don't want to get ahead of myself but I think were just about safe. Funnily enough it was Southend who were relegated in 1989 on 54 points (highest ever in a 46 game season) and having passed that mark I think its high time I commend Chris and Alan on their great work on securing our league 1 safety.
On a serious note I thought our performance today was as good as its been since at least the 2nd half vs chezzy. Duffy showed his quality again despite losing the ball a little too much. Moore solid as ever (for me one of the best bits of business wilder has done) and Basham again the excellent link between defence and attack when Coutts is being man marked. Shame about sloppy defending for first goals as besides that all three centre half's looked solid and composed on the ball. Lafferty is only player today who I didn't feel was particularly good maybe time to give Done a chance on that left wing as we certainly miss his athletic style and for him not be effective he needs longer on the field to drag defenders all over and tire them out not just 20 min cameos.
