I don't see the problem here.

Why can't they be biased towards Wednesday if they want to be?

They can, and they have been for at least the last forty odd years, probably a lot longer - They never openly admit thier bias though, so to the casual reader it seems like "balanced news".
Some thingk that RS are biased, but thats just peoples own favouritism colouring thier listening - The Star is totally, 100% in favour of the shitty third of Sheffield.

Who hasn't pissed in a pint pot though?
Now...if he'd have pissed in the pint pot than proceeded to drink it then that may well have been hack worthy..

Better form is to do it, and then pass it to an even more drunk "mate" as a "new type of lager to try"

Didn't think you would.

Why?

Do you also get upset that Chris Waddle and David Hirst are biased towards Sheffield Wednesday?

Do you get upset when you see Sheffield Wednesday fans wearing Sheffield Wednesday shirts and proudly displaying their bias towards Sheffield Wednesday?

I wasn't aware The Star had a remit to be unbiased.

It really is a bell end of a newspaper....

We should actively encourage its demise and deny it interviews on every level, and that includes chelseas very own James shield.

If we win promotion, all we'll get from them is "united scrape up" and "6years, you took your time" they hate us, they've made it clear... let's fuck the lot of em off..

That really is shocking isn't it?

I've never really paid much attention to the Star but that story is just weird

Are any of the above journalists working for a city-wide newspaper? Do you really need the issue spelling out to you that everyone else has grasped without a problem or are you just deliberately being awkward as always?

Actually don't answer, I already know.

Some of those journalists might be Sheffield Wednesday fans. No?

If The Star was biased towards Sheffield United would you still be outraged?

Does the Star still have 'In The Courts'? that was where I used to see what some of my old school mates were up to, given that I lived on the Cross in my youth.

Same here, me and my old mates from Gleadless Valley used to call "Court Report", "The Valley Section", as in "did you see who was in the Valley section last week?, still up to no good after all these years, at his age!"

If they were I'd acknowledge it.

When you write for a newspaper you are expected to have a degree of journalistic responsibility. Displaying bias against half the citys population is not a good move.

Looks like I did have to spell it out.....

It's not bias we're talking about, it's the basic fact that we can't sign a player without them finding every negative available and screaming it in a headline...

They don't want anything good to happen to Sheffield United, that's why there's uproar, we are sick to death of it.... forget that shower of shit, its about us, and them shitting on everything we do..

You've got no proof that The Star is actually biased though.

If they were biased why would they not just be openly biased?

You mean other than todays article and the list nopigfansintown posted on page 2?

Well at least The Star has at least a couple of Blades fans still reading it.

Because it's bad for business. You have to disguise it enough to slip it through. Except everyone can see through it. Well, almost everyone.

T'old Samir has a challenge now - to become more famous for his football than being photographed filling a pint pot.

If they were that bothered about it effecting business then surely they'd 'disguise' it fully.

Seems to me you've fallen into the age old trap of coming to a conclusion and then gone looking for evidence to try to back it up.

You seem to have a constant yearning to go out of your way to repeatedly tell everyone in every thread about how much you hate everyone and everything in an unnecessarily aggressive manner.

Okay, we get it. Calm the fuck down.

You have an 'ignore' function, make use of it. Because it's highly unlikely that I'll be giving a fuck what you think anytime soon.

I think most of us can at least acknowledge The Star has been writing biased shit for a while regardless of what Tyler's opinion is.

Next you will be telling me The Daily Express are not obsessed with Princess Diana.

I'll be posting a thread tomorrow morning about the return of Marc McNulty.

I'll be sure to PM you as soon as I post it so you can get in nice and early and wish AIDS and cancer on his wife and kids.

Which I've never done nor would do.

Let me know when you've posted another 'Wilder = David Weir Mk2' thread so everyone can laugh their bollocks off at you.

I can't particularly say I've noticed. The Save Our Pigs campaign was before I was born, and the other stories people have referenced are what cheap journalism is made of.

But above all, I've never once read a story about Wendy in their paper or on their website. They could be writing anything or everything about them for all I know. I just suspect it won't be great journalism.
