They were far from their best today but there is a massive difference between playing shit and not giving a shit.

The general culture from the upper reaches of the club, year in year out is that achieving 6th place is great.
Some on here probably think that too.
That's what you are up against, sadly.

"Below par", "lethargic", "didn't click" would have been bang on and got a different reaction. This years team have earned a bit more respect, surely?

Foxy and Lindz must be having Boxing Day off, got to be the only reason this thread has got to ten pages without it being locked down and everyone getting a telling off....
 
Well for what it's worth, I thought we were ok ish first half..Nowhere near the high standards we've set in recent weeks/months but definitely not gash..Coutts, Fleck and Duffy, in particular, never got going..but I didn't see any lack of effort..StilI, I fully expected us to win (that in itself in a v strange concept for me ☺)..And we did..Everyone's entitled to their opinion. After all some people reckon Mrs Brown's Boys is funny :tumbleweed:...UTB...and at least I saw a nice cartwheel from Billy ☺☺

Yes. and until that mentallity changes we'll always be 6th rate.

Yes, I'm sure people would be happy with 6th place. You can tell with discussions with Blades fans that they're bang up for a trip to Wembley.

First 15-20 mins we were bang average, after that we weren't half bad at all. Enough chances before HT to be out of sight I felt, and same again second half.
