Not been in The Hermitage for years. Does it still do Sunday stripper shows at 1230 and 1330?

Or has that too fallen to the great God political correctness?

You could tell the mettle of the man when the strippers did a wander around. I saw many a Blades hardman scramble away, avoid eye contact or down their Wards when 'Roxette from Rotherham', 'Cindi from Cudworth' or 'Desiree from Dinnington' left the stage.

Me? As a 17 year old in there I was feckin petrified and legged it to the bar, the bogs or upstairs to avoid being 'fondled'.

Kids couldn't make it due to puking. Went into Hermatige hoping to meet the forum crowd, but met THE crowd. Had a quick one and made for the exit.

Hung around in Hermitage from 12 to 12.30 then met Dar in Bar 27, moved into Old Crown and back to Bar 27. Big piss up after at Royal Oak Pitsmoor but thought going home was the best option.

Dev Cat renovation is a big improvement in my opinion as long as they have enough people serving at busy times.

We have decided to move on now, not really because of the refurb but think it has gone downhill ever since Abbeydale got it in terms of the variety of beer on the handpumps. Last time I was in (2 games ago) 11 variations on pale/blonde and 1 amber ale. The only good dark was the Yorkshire Blackout which was £3.80 a pint. We gave the Bath a try but not quite what we wanted so yesterday was Red Deer, great selection of beers and decent value food too. Still love The Cat but not as match day venue, shame as we've done about 10 years in there
