Long time reader but first ever post, (apart from the odd sarky reply).
I read something that Jurgen Klopp said shortly after taking his new job when asked about his ambitions for Liverpool. Rather than talking about winning this that or other trophy or finishing in top four as you would expect he said something like, " I want to create a situation where the supporters cannot wait for the next game to come around". The reason I mention this is I think Wilder has brought that back to United. I don't know about anyone else but I can't wait for Boxing day. Win, lose or draw United are a joy to watch these days.

The best thing about Wilder is that he has introduced a winning mentality. Sometimes we win playing well, sometimes we grind the win out. Wilder is a fan too and realises that winning and moving up the league is the most important thing for most fans.

I really don't understand this "I enjoy it whether we win, lose or draw" stuff - and certainly not whilst we are in L1.

Exactly. I've never enjoyed losing at anything. Result 1st, anything else is nice but definately 2nd.

I don't like losing either, probably the wrong phrase to use but what I'm getting at is its a contrast between how I felt last season after a pathetic draw at Oldham against ten men compared to how I felt after the Charlton game even though the result was the same.

I know what you mean, a "feeling" coming back that hasn't really been the case since the Warnock and Bassett days.

I think you are misinterpreting the OP's post mate .

No one enjoys losing whatever Division we are in . But what CW has managed to do now is instill pride , passion and fight into the team ( aswell as a high level of skill and organsiation ) . We lose a game under Wilders leadership and we know with certainty that " our " team has fought tooth and nail from first whistle to last . Contrast that with what we've been forced to endure in recent times when " a " team in red and white has rolled over and given up in a lame arsed , disinterested , demotivated , pathetic , manner .

Thats what CW has instilled and thats why its so good to be going to the Lane again .

I honestly can't remember the last time I was this excited for a home game. All credit to Wilder and his team for turning things around. It's a long old season, but for the first time since 2011/12 season I'm actually feeling confident that good things are just around the corner.

A bit off piste here, and I'm not talking about fan base per-se, because as we all know you don't win anything by the amount fans you cram into a stadium, but I feel our loyalty deserves something at least. I'm 32 years old, and have never seen us sink so low but for 18 - 20k fans to keep turning up, week after week, year after year well, if anyone deserves something based on loyalty then it's us (and maybe Newcastle, oh and Pompey...and maybe a few others) :)

So is it your first ever post or not?
Kinell, it's not twattin' rocket science, or can't you add up to one

Oh and yes, you're absolutely mate.
It's REIGHT exciting nowadays and long may it continue ;)

TarquinDelouche has provided the exact quote below. Speaks volumes about what a sensible guy Klopp is.

"I want to create a situation where the supporters cannot wait for the next game to come around. Evolution, not revolution. Think Sheffield United."

I willsettle for finishing 2nd. this season though crabby:)

We'd all like that Boxer :)

Whatever the problems were before, maybe even are now, we seem to have gotten into a better place as a club pretty quickly.

I think the shining example is to point out how much I didn't look forward to football under Blackwell even when we were up in the top spots of the Championship. It was compensated for by having a more exciting fixture list and bigger prize on offer, but fuck me were some games painful to watch. It takes something special to be 2nd or 3rd and have fans wanting the manager out.

I'm not just looking forward to games because we're winning, or because we're challenging for promotion. Those things help, no doubt, but the main reason is because in so many games we've been great to watch. That second half against Chesterfield, he even made Leyton Orient in the cup worth sitting in freezing cold and wet for.

Good post with the exception of win , loose , or draw . Floating fans don't gone back after a loss , with what's all the fuss about . A win is be all and end all , especially for our 6 season wonders .one aim , one vision.

We need to get back to the bigger grounds. Getting away tickets for these sheds, cabins and outhouses that we've now sunk to playing in ain't easy now that loads of people want to go!

Bring on the party atmosphere as we scamper up the league and return to playing in grounds that fit our support!

I look forward to the games a lot more now than for quite a few years, they are playing well and the future is looking bright.
I think we will win the league with a couple of good additions to the squad,a left winger/wing back and another goalscorer.

Lady HB is a bit more discerning than I about watching football than I. She puts a greater emphasis on whats happening on the pitch and less on tje pie, beer and inappropriate shouting.

She's attended more this season already than the last couple put together.

If that's any type of barometer.

Names that sound like somebody taking a sloppy dump....

Juergen Klopp

Donald Trump

Jools Holland

I thought this would be another post about "Liverpool type investment" I'm disappointed.

Wed become only the third club to win all four division titles if we finish top though
Ok, first it is then.you see some of us are prepared to listen to other people on here, assess it and, be prepared to admit they were wrong, not hard is it.
