Think that's Ebeneezer Chapel in the background. My mum & dad got married there & my grandma grew up next door. Went to the last service before it was demolished. The upper room (the church proper) hadn't been used in years. It was all part of a massive regeneration plan. 30 years later still empty. If the description on this photo is correct, where would this white building have stood?

Memories of st George's day parades (or was it remembrance?) of years gone by. I was about the only volunteer to carry the flag one year as the rest of cubs were wendies.

At first glance, I thought it was the chapel, too, but the frontage isn't right. This one here is definitely the Wesleyan chapel that stood on Bramall Lane. I used to play football with my friends in the small yard at the front of the chapel.Think that's Ebeneezer Chapel in the background. My mum & dad got married there & my grandma grew up next door. Geoff Goodall the physio is from Dronfield. His dad used to bring his football coupons to my house and have a chat with my dad. My dad was a collector for Littlewoods and Vernons in the Dronfield area. Geoff often spoke to my dad outside the players entrance at away matches
