Oh it's fine, have faith. I'm sure if we just blindly persevere with them while the results suffer, they will suddenly turn into an amazing partnership.

8 matches, 3 draws, 5 defeats all games this season. 4 team goals scored from those 8 matches.

More than just blaming them two though, we have sit down and look at how we can deal with these type of matches better in general. We have struggled against motivated teams who come to the Lane and defend deep. The last three home matches have looked like attack vs defence training sessions. We need more directness, more movement, more pace, more players who can beat an opponent.

I have no problem with going back to Done, I wasn't one of those calling for him to be dropped. But obviously Wilder wanted something changing. But the cup on Sunday would be a perfect time to give Lavery a chance.

Billy and Leon don't seem to gel but I wondering if any other current pairing would work. A pre requisite for both strikers is can you shoot and will the midfield slip the ball to you early enough to do your thing.

Everytime Sharp and Clarke play, Leon is the better of the two. It clearly doesn't suit Billy at all having Clarke next to him but in fairness to Clarke he's only ever played up front with Sharp

Yeah drop Sharp, only scored 12 goals and fired us from bottom to 2nd alongside Done. Sharp = clearly not good enough.

I can see that being the case, Clarke is the type of League One striker who gets signed as the main man. He's a very expensive back up at this level.

The partnership clearly doesn't work, and it's obvious. I can only think Wilder is under other pressures than playing his best team. If teams sit deep, we need Done next to a striker (or Scougs/Chapman) who will lose their man to get balls, drop deeper and be more mobile. We need to pull defences around to get through them.

I'm yet to see the point of Lavery, but we'll see.
