Well, many of us were looking forward to the Bury match, which obviously presented different challenges to that of the trip to Charlton. Despite Tuesday evenings struggles, 3 more points were eventually sealed. This afternoons match has also been eagerly anticipated, and is obviously, on paper, our sternest recent test. Charlton are in decent form following 2 consecutive victories and one defeat in 7. From afar it's not obvious why they became managerless. Anyway Robinson is ready to step in, but for today Nugent remains 'in charge'. Contrast that to the fact we are looking to make it 15 unbeaten and chasing a 5th successive league victory. Charlton have a decent home defensive record, but that could come under threat today by the fact they are likely to come out for the win, arguably playing to our strengths in many ways.....
Anyway....
Any team news?
Duffy and Freeman both likely to return?
Other wise unchanged?
Chapman ready for a start?
Lavery still waiting?
Or?
Really looking forward to listening to the game this afternoon. Their fans have many issues with the owner, and apparently plan some match disrupting protests. We just need to concentrate on our game, and lets make the disgruntled fans disrupt their own teams flow rather than ours. Will be a good test to see just how far we have come, but for me there is nothing to fear from a team that happens to have won a couple. We've beaten or at least matched arguably stronger sides so for me a 2-1 Blades win is the order of the day. Won't be too upset with a draw (depending on the manner of it of course) but let's hope those around us have an off day at last. Safe journey lads and lasses, and I'm pretty sure the loudest will be you lot today, easily out singing the home faithful!
