Well, many of us were looking forward to the Bury match, which obviously presented different challenges to that of the trip to Charlton. Despite Tuesday evenings struggles, 3 more points were eventually sealed. This afternoons match has also been eagerly anticipated, and is obviously, on paper, our sternest recent test. Charlton are in decent form following 2 consecutive victories and one defeat in 7. From afar it's not obvious why they became managerless. Anyway Robinson is ready to step in, but for today Nugent remains 'in charge'. Contrast that to the fact we are looking to make it 15 unbeaten and chasing a 5th successive league victory. Charlton have a decent home defensive record, but that could come under threat today by the fact they are likely to come out for the win, arguably playing to our strengths in many ways.....

Anyway....

Any team news? :)

Duffy and Freeman both likely to return?

Other wise unchanged?

Chapman ready for a start?

Lavery still waiting?

Or?

Really looking forward to listening to the game this afternoon. Their fans have many issues with the owner, and apparently plan some match disrupting protests. We just need to concentrate on our game, and lets make the disgruntled fans disrupt their own teams flow rather than ours. Will be a good test to see just how far we have come, but for me there is nothing to fear from a team that happens to have won a couple. We've beaten or at least matched arguably stronger sides so for me a 2-1 Blades win is the order of the day. Won't be too upset with a draw (depending on the manner of it of course) but let's hope those around us have an off day at last. Safe journey lads and lasses, and I'm pretty sure the loudest will be you lot today, easily out singing the home faithful!

A touch nervous about this one if I'm honest. Think it will be among the toughest games we've had all season.

On our way down now. Really looking forward to it knowing Charlton won't be looking to park the bus. We will probably have more freedom today in the last third than the last 2 games put together. Think we are going to be in for a cracker and a Blades win

Will be sat on my settee as usual, laptop in place, awaiting all the tweets from the match.
Hopefully this match will end with all players on the pitch and a good game of football can be had. Feel sorry for their supporters though and hope that any disruption does not interfere too much with the game.
Sing loud Blades and help bring back 3 points....

Hard game and we know the run has to end somewhere.

A point would be a terrific result, and a win would be the result of the season so far.

Couldn't agree more with those sentiments m'dear. Like you I'll be paying attention to Foxy's commentary as well as the antics on the shoutbox - will we need someone to put their arse on the line and create that magical 'lucky shit'? Interestingly, it only seems to be a male consideration but I guess you take your luck wherever you can find it, and at least we have bums that can influence the pattern of play.

Good luck to everyone today, and I'm certain the players will be resolute in their desire to continue our good run. We have the character, we have the talent (of that there's no doubt!), and we have the manager we've longed for, so onto that pitch like warriors in red and white, take it to 'em Blades, show 'em what's what! UTMB!

So much talk seems to have been about how good Charlton are looking that I have a touch of nerves for the first time in a while. Possible disruptions from fan protests should make an interesting atmosphere, at least. Another win to keep us on track, please.

Gutted that I can't go to this game. It's about 30 minutes away on the bus. It's so exciting for us to be in such a good position at this stage in the season, we're on a fantastic run, and we feel invincible right now. But we need a result here. We're still 6 points shy of 1st, the game in hand is on Tuesday, but the fact remains. There's still a way to go until we reach the top of the league.

Charlton are gonna be difficult to beat, and they will be playing to win. It'll be an open attacking game, and both sides will dominate at times. Let's just hope they don't dominate us too much. I'm expecting a draw, which doesn't suit either side, but at least it's not a loss. If we win, as said earlier, that would be the biggest result of our season so far. I'll be watching Soccer Saturday for the updates. I'll go nuts if we win, I'm going out later so there'll be a lot of sherbets to be supped if we bag 3 points!

Yeah I'd have given Chapman the nod myself, but I suppose it's going to be another impact substitution for the lad. shame really, think he deserves the chance.

That's an attacking line up, the bench is as well, go for it blades, hope those who have gone are in for a treat, cannot wait for roys view already.

Really interested to see if sharp and Clarke can build a partnership
