Look at that Blades side, how on earth didn't we go up that year?

he po final being the killer
There sure won't be 20,000 there on Saturday. The criminal way Charlton are being run now has brought the gates down to 8k. It's a sad state of affairs, they're a good club with decent fans and deserve better in my opinion.
Opposition
What happened here? Greenwich doesn't look happy.
Yes and the second one was when BT caught a cold the night we played and was sold to stoke.because burnley beat us 3 times 1-0

looking at past results (and dates) nearly always invokes a 'fck me time flies' response... followed by 'inside i really havent changed one little bit when it comes to the Blades'.
remember that game well. also fond memories of the 1-1 prem fixture with Stead's equalizer which exploded the away end. ended up very drunk with some Charlton fans. one of my favourite away days, gutted i cant be there sat.
The stewards reckoned that chain, which was connected to his wallet, constituted an offensive weapon and wouldn't let him in with it.
A draw in that game and all other results the same we go up automatically. The of course if we'd not let in that last gasp Kevin Philips goal on the first day of the season things could have equally been very different...

Matt Spring? Don't remember much about him, not even sure I've got his name right. Think he was supposed to be some hot prospect.Sad forgetful old buffer alert - who was Spring on our bench? Mind is a complete blank.

Bald bloke utterly convinced you're snapping him for no apparent reason
A bloke I used to play against at school. Its funny, he didn't stand out then as being any better than the average kid kicking a ball round the school field but there you go.
Aye, cracking day out that. We ended up in a pub called the Royal Oak near the ground, had a fine time.
Another one I remember is a 3-0 midweek victory where Keith Gillespie gave about his best all round performance in a United shirt.
yeah i remember that 3-0 master class too. the post match drinks blur into one but am sure at least on one occasion doing random sambuca's in the Royal Oak with a London Blade, think he was Greenwich based, i cant remember. also im sure darren bent got held up in traffic in his aston martin right outside and a rather husky Blade sat on his bonnet bare arse.
I think after the 3-0 people went to the Antigallican if they stuck around for a drink at all as it was getting late and they wanted to be by the station. That Darren Bent thing rings a bell mind you.
