Not just you ,people in general ,he has never been anywhere near good enough ,but because of the shite we had in net before him he was accepted. He has had apologists all along and it has to stop ,he should be let go and find his level.

Don't get me wrong I agree Long isn't up to it but I can of a least half a dosen in this league who's better than Moore he's average at best

In my opinion the fact that CW replaced Long with Moore when he did is probably one of the the main reasons why we have seen such a dramatic upturn in fortunes since. Ok, there's the change in formation as well from 442 which wasn't working but the whole team seemed so unsure with Long in goal and the lack of confidence throughout was visible in the early games.

Now I'm sure that somewhere in there is a decent keeper but not at BDTBL anymore - he's had his chances but confidence is shot and the fans will always be on his case if he plays, so time to move elsewhere and rebuild. I was staggered by the abuse he was getting (and even heard one twat on the kop shouting "I hope you die Long") but he wasn't helping himself with performances and needed to be replaced, which thankfully he has.

my first thought for the first goal was that the CH hadn't dropped back quick enough. Basham then has a go at long. not great.

Good to see Clarke notch one though. He could be a key guy as the season goes on

What heartens me more than anything, watching the goals, is how the goalscorers are immediately surrounded by their team mates congratulating them - this in a totally meaningless game. I think this speaks volumes about the team as a close knit unit.
