This is what I am finding so refreshing under Wilder this season. We seem to be going into every game believing we are good enough to get the win which is exactly how it should be in this division. We play home or away to win with usually 2 up front.

Under Clough and Adkins we were all too concerned with worrying about how to stop the opposition. Now its, dont take the opposition lightly, but play our game and it will be them worrying about how to stop us, whether its bradford away or port vale at home.

Love it!

there seemed to be a fear that teams would play better against us and we needed to stop them at all cost as they could hurt us, But you are right Wilder as changed this mentality to be play your game and make sure we are aware of the threat but if we can play like we can, we will beat who ever is put in front of us, as you rightly say so far its is working.

Nice also to see a team, no one bigger that the team either, all playing for each other and you can see they are enjoying it, when a goal is scored they celebrate together, which as been a rare in the past years, the Chris Wilder factor is finally painting a very nice picture over what was a very bad period for Sheffield United.

The other difference which underpins this, is that the team look well drilled and tightly coached.

Despite the evidence of the first 4 or 5 games when we were all over the place, this team looks like it goes into each game with a Plan A, Plan B and Plan C.

Massive difference. Especially at this level where most teams struggle to muster a Plan A. Wilder changes formation not just from game to game, but he's not afraid to adjust mid-game.

Again could not agree more, Under both Nigel's if the "Plan" was not working there was nothing in the locker to change it to, so we ended up watching a team either milling along doing the same stuff hoping for a different result or "Rub of the Green" or Defending as if life depended on it, all really badly thought out, But with Wilder there is Plan A, B, C and sometimes D which is refreshing and nice to know he has that in the locker to look at a game and change as needs be as he has done for quite a few.

It's about time our manager and team , let the other fuckers in this division worry about playing us ,
who we playing next week boss , Sheffield at there place , fuck me we're going to get nothing there ,
I know lets just get the game out of the way and concentrate on Shrewsbury at home the following week ,
Because these fuckers don't know when there beaten .
Well done Chris , well done Blades .

I think you're right but I felt we set up to counter MK on Saturday, hence they only had two shots on target, and not to the detriment of our play and we put them under a lot of pressure which gave us our reward.

Fear.

Fear is what keeps us alive.

Attempting to hold onto 1-0 leads at home to the likes of Port Vale and such is what will get us promoted from this division.

Nigel Clough, 2014.

Fans will always forgive a defeat
They will even try to get behind a shit team
If the team is trying to win games they will get a certain amount of encouragement

Too many managers have cost us vital games, especially in the play offs by using negative tactics, frightened to death of losing instead of going out and trying to win it. In a game where there's nothing for a draw why did so many basket cases try to achieve exactly that ?

In all our play off finals did we have one single meaningful attempt at goal in all the games put together ?
I can't remember one, even the penalty we got against Wolves went 10 yards wide.

That isn't bad luck, it's just shit, negative, stifling, mind numbing tactics that sends our players out afraid to try anything positive.
Stupid thing is that the only team that gets stifled is ourselves,
Hopefully we have now seen an end to these shocking tactics and play to win games regardless
