Seem to remember we had 4 goals disallowed West Ham away in the premier league? Another day to remind us of the London-centric nature of the 'elite'.
 
That's as good a victory as we've had while in L1. We've never won by more than 4.

Very strange to get a victory like that. We were even 2 up at half time. I didn't know what to do.
 
As I've mentioned on another thread, I think some of our performances under clough were brilliant, especially the hull semi final.

I wouldn't say it was "brilliant". We defended very poorly in the 2nd half and ended up conceding 5 goals...

It was a very spirited display though and I appreciate Hull were great 2nd half.

Beating Southampton at home - now that was a brilliant performance and a real team effort.

I'm sure I saw us beat Ipswich 7-1 but that was way before the premier league

I`m sure I recall Spurs playing a weakened team in that game as they were more concerned with their semi against Arsenal?
Maybe time plays tricks.

It does but they did. Maybe not for a game against Arsenal or perhaps a league cup semi but it was a weakened side.
We also played them at home the season before (I think) and they did the same but that was a Saturday game. Came back to draw with two late goals.
 



We led 2-0 at half time against Scunthorpe when we beat them 4-0 in March of last year. Holt and Baxter.
And again when we beat Yeovil 4-0 in January 2012: Cresswell and Doyle

Although our other 4-0 wins since the turn of the century have come about after we were just 1-0 up at the break:

4-0 v Brum in November 2001
HT 1-0 (Montgomery)

4-0 v Luton in November 2005
HT 1-0 (Jagielka)

4-0 v Bury in September 2011
HT 1-0 (Porter)

I was wondering the last time we had the ball in the back of the net 8 times. Even if you include penalty shoot outs (because we're awful at them!), I don't think we have done in my memory (about '95 onwards)
